Swather tires plugging in forks ?

Anyone have any solutions ? Plugs in forks and skids wheels
Last swather didnt have forks , this one does
Wonder about lower air pressure so tire flexes , or build or buy sc****rs?

Sc****rs causes friction and take power. Could continue to skid.

I would try lowering the air pressure.

I am guessing that you do not have much clearance from the top of the tire to the top cross member of the fork? Dad used to have a new Holland 2450 that would do the same thing when it got muddy out. It was the only time the massey 200 that I had at the time could out cut him. haha. The massey had much more clearance from the tire to the top of the fork.

I would look at trying to increase the gap if that is at all possible.

Try wrapping a chain around the tire and through the rim, acts like a wiper every time the (tire) chain makes a revolution? Might work?

Try lowering the air pressure so the tires flex more to shed the mud.

When ours were following drive track they’d plug so moved them out was better

We used to put on wheel spacers, if you get a set made make sure they are heavy duty and done buy a qualified machine shop. Also, 500-600 mm trelbourgs run at low psi are amazing in the mud.

On the rear tires, i only buy swathers that dont have forks, but rather the one sided axles, and use single rib tires.
