We shot countless gophers for other people. A bit of a hobby.
Some people fish some weekends in summer....we shoot gophers.
We'll never get them all but can greatly reduce their population.

      So are we dangerous?
Is there no "benefit" to us owning lowly 22 caliber guns?

Taking guns or making gun ownership onerous to non-criminal Canadians isn't solving the problem.

Tighten borders to catch banned or restricted guns.
Stiffer penalties for gun crime and violence.
Criminals won't learn or need "gun ownership education"...they need consequences.
Gangs aren't lawbiding groups. Deal with them accordingly but don't punish everyone for the gang's offences.

          Those shootings are decades apart.

The majority of gun violence is hand gun crime is in big city ethnic suburbs like Peel and Surrey. Sorry but its the truth. There is no sugar coating it. Assault weapons are not widely owned or coveted by criminals because they cant be concealed.

Nobody has made a credible case as to why they need a hand gun. Why?
Harper tried to get tough on crime and demand accountability.... Trudeau axed that the minute he got in .

Remember about 20 yrs ago some were reporting these violent native gangs operating in Canada like Indian Posse and Hells Angels. Well I can tell you those gangs are no longer a major problem. Why you ask? Well its not because of law enformence or the courts or anything. They got put out of business by more violent gangs.

Canada is extremely fertile ground for criminals.

I would start with the catch and release system we have in place here
Quit worrying about law abiding “gun toting rural folks” (TM cluck cluck)
Maybe worry more about gang violence , rather than how they can get jihadi jack back here so they can rehabilitate him
The whole thing is just ****ed
