Just this week, our energy industry even had a breakthrough in bitumen that could make it the cleanest oil on the planet.
Bitcrude sent its first sea can of solid bitumen to China this week. It hopes to send a million more.
Because Bitcrude is a solid form of bitumen, it is not subject to the Liberals’ tanker ban and doesn’t require diluent to transport it by pipeline; instead, it can be transported by rail. Because it is solid, and can’t be spilled so there is no danger to fish. Because it floats, it can be collected even if a sea can did fall off a container ship.

Because it requires less refining on the customer’s end, it has 50 per cent lower greenhouse gas emissions. At the same time, because it is not diluted it can sell for a higher price on the international market.
These are the exciting developments we should be sharing with schoolchildren. This is the science we should be encouraging them to get involved in. We should be filling children with hope for the future, rather than allowing them to despair.

These are the type of solutions kids should be taught to think of ....instead of becoming sheeple following the lunacy of the envirowhackos...

Watch though someone will ask the amount of energy to produce the pucks....without a reply to the same about solar panels wind mills....

The pucks should be applauded because they move carbon emissions from Canada where 16yr olds with a mental condition tell us what to do and move them to china where envirowhackos are scared to go.

Are you referring to Donald Trump the TV show host and egomaniac "celebrity" president?

Which is also the net result of the carbon tax and any other cost prohibitive taxes and regulations. Instead of actually cutting emissions or actual pollution, it forces them off shore where we don't see it. Getting harder to tell if this is an unintended consequence by incompetent short sighted lawmakers, or intentional.

Have you already the forgotten all the effort you made in the thread earlier this summer, trying to prove how much of sea level rise(SLR) is human caused vs. natural? Yet you continue to paste nonsense such as this which propagates the lie that SLR is entirely human caused.

Do you bother fact checking this stuff, or even reading it?

Can you possibly list the names of those large cities disappearing under water already? I would think that would have been newsworthy?

I see they were finally smart enough to quit claiming Hurricanes are more frequent or stronger, when they are doing the opposite. Their forecast has been downgraded to a tropical storm now...( and no, it is not true with tropical storms either, or any other weather event for that matter).

Really? EVERY SINGLE PREDICTION of the global warming doom crowd has been drastically too ambitious. Can you please provide even a single example of a disaster prediction that is slower than reality?

And their prediction of SLR of 110mm by 2100. You do realize that the current rate is 3.2mm per year, as it has been for 30 years. To reach 110mm, the current rate has to increase by nearly 5 times, starting tomorrow. How do you extrapolate that from a linear trend?

But, as usual, thanks for the glimmer of hope that global warming isn't yet dead. Those of us dealing with on the ground weather conditions need something to be optimistic about lately.
How the hell did you become an engineer if you didn't believe in science and evidence based analysis?

There is plenty of research available on climate trends and sea level rise proving that human caused climate change is happening. Get off your butt and take a look!

As we know from the many examples of engineering failures and shortcomings for ag machinery, some engineers lack common sense.

because human frailty is unlimited. Scientists are bought and paid for because they live on the publics dime especially those in academia.

Dont make scientist to be the new white coat priests. They are just as susceptible to self interest and base instincts as anyone.

There was just a bunch of scientists at MIT that had to resign and issue apologies because they took funding from Epstein after he was arrested in 2008. Dollars signs skew everything even scientific impartiality.
