anyone want to talk about the upcoming weather....

Looks pretty shitty....lots of guys took off tough grain which will keep them busy during this weather event and the results of it...

Wasn't even close to under 20 yesterday so it looks like we will be sitting for a while....

Not stressed yet unless the snow flattens it right out....

It will be a shame to wreck a combine for feed wheat....

Yup was a very costly fall for us last year .
Ended up having to swath ahead . Hard on swather but at least combines could run steady.
The header could get the wheat but it also got the rocks and mud and was painfully slow having to stop constantly..
a lot of combines took a beating last fall here trying to straight cut flat wheat and flat canola .

And we just have to eat the revenue loss and extra costs.
      How about a fair price?
Drives me fůcken nuts they made feed wheat work at a small discount to high quality wheat but now they think they should pay less!

A week will be lost...along with more quality and value, which equal money!

Ha. No. Just my twisted sense of humour not wanting to think about the next two weeks.... not gonna be fun.

NW Montana ranchers had better have their stock rounded up... 15-36" on the plains is unreal!

                      .24 of liquid poison.

Hoping we don't get an accumulation of snow.
How can't it be heavy wet stuff if it happens? Unlike that "dry snow" people sometimes say doesn't have much water in it!

To swath or not to swath......depends on the amount of snowfall.

                          2 inches = don’t swath
                          16 inches = get cutting

In response to the original question, the answer is no. Perhaps if I bury my head in the sand ( or snow as the case may be), it will go away.

I really like the forecast posted above about the snowfall warning in Montana etc. They actually give their confidence in the forecast. I need that in every forecast. It might be a 60% chance of showers day after tomorrow, but if they are only 20% confident that the system which brings 60% chance will pass through, then I can plan accordingly.

Again from last Sunday .... this was the 10 day outlook on saskwind.ca ..
they always seem to be 3-4 days ahead of everyone else .
