    the dumbphuckled pharmer......tm.
To swath or not to swath......depends on the amount of snowfall.

    2 inches = don’t swath
    16 inches = get cutting

In response to the original question, the answer is no. Perhaps if I bury my head in the sand ( or snow as the case may be), it will go away.

I really like the forecast posted above about the snowfall warning in Montana etc. They actually give their confidence in the forecast. I need that in every forecast. It might be a 60% chance of showers day after tomorrow, but if they are only 20% confident that the system which brings 60% chance will pass through, then I can plan accordingly.

Umm this storm is predicing a full years snowfall for some parts of SW SK and S AB. Unreal. Says its going to snow for 60 hours.

Calling for a few inches here south of Regina. Hope it misses us. Canola not swathed.

Yikes, I think we're in trouble. Alot of harvest days are going to be lost with this system, then recovery(drying) time.
Let's hope the models are over estimating the intensity.
            Subscription services are forewarning.

I know of no one who is finished harvest in my neck of the woods.

NE Sask missed the early snow last fall and just might again this fall. That would be hard to believe but can lightning strike twice? Fingers crossed 🤞

We are hopeful it will not hit here , two years in a row would be not fun

Geez, I wish I had more land right about now.....

Good thing this isn't a regular occurrence, things would look alot different if it was.

Hoping there isn't a 40-55 km/h wind with the potential snow, I don't have the snowblower on yet.

Might have to double dose the meds to make it through this one.

Shit like this can financially take people out of the farming game. .....with inadequate programs available to help.

Don't forget to order and prebuy your inputs, limited supplies and limited time offers!

There is a lot of standing canola in this area.
We are in the supposed 3 or 4 inch of snow .
What would a foot of wet snow do to it.
Kinda wish I had swathed north /south now for even
                        Melting.

Weather Chanel is calling this 'climate chaos'... as 'cooling' would not be 'cool' to say... being today is climate warming school day in Canada... Wow she should bring her sailing boat out west... and trade it for a toboggan to use in the rockys. Hear it is going to freeze the orchards and vinyards...ice cider and wine... chaos style? Will the forecasters be right?
