Maybe could get a real good thunderstorm, and get hailed out ..... could you imagine?
That’s if the hail can get to the heads.
Have till the end of Oct to get a claim in.

I'd light the bitch up but it's too wet to burn!

Came past some canola that got hailed pretty bad last week - both swathed and standing was bleached pretty white.

Current weather conditions in the Slum of the Ghetto:

            1°C + 99% RH = 100% FUBAR harvest conditions.

Is it true that "its never so bad that it couldn't be worse", doesn't feel like it lately.

Let's send Mother Nature on a holiday, she has become a crusty old menopausal biatch. Put Father Nature in charge, maybe he will be a little more compassionate.

Nobody turned a wheel around here since last Thursday. Doesn't look good with this in the forecast either.

I sent out a kind invitation to my nemesis the "WIND". After all the bad mouthing I give it it may not show up.

Got into some canola swaths on Tuesday, 12.5. Have to go back to the 19 wheat later today though. Edmonton.

Sunny and windy here today finally. Canola down to 13%. Tomorrow should be ready if it keeps up. Saturday rain will put us down till Monday. Everyone is ready to go 24/7 if it’ll let us. Buddy brought his machine to help as we’ll do his when it’s ready. Checked some standing oats that didn’t get preharvest glyphosate and seeds look ripe but straw pretty green. Have 5 days on canola and 1 1/2 days on oats. I chuckled today moving cows onto stubble. Mom asked if we’ll be weaning calves while combining. Way it’s going it could be so. I’m further ahead than most guys around here. Could be a real shit show if we don’t get decent stretch. Most are under 50% done to some not even started. Glad I still keep cows.

Old mother nature finally gave us a break in the NE swamp
Only ended up with a half a tenth

They must have really beefed up the hydro and final drives on those new IH combines... I mean, we have a couple pretty decent hills, but there's no way i could climb that sort of incline with the ol girl! Looks damned near vertical!
