It lead to the equivalent of 1.3M new cars on the road. What problem are we trying to solve here? Sounds whack a mole to me and putting a new greenhouse gas in the air that we know plants cant even use.
0.1% I realize math is hard. See social media comment.

For perspective, that's about how many new F150's hit the road in a year and a bit

Glad to see you are concerned about all greenhouse gases.

Less damaging alternatives to SF6 will have to be implemented. It's already on the radar and some companies are already using alternatives to SF6.

Its widely used in other applications as well.

Almost every smaller country can claim that their contributions to greenhouse gases are too small to matter. So why do anything?

Its a giant feeble excuse for people who don't want to do anything and do their fair share.

Canada has some of the highest per capita emissions in the world.

Norway a much smaller northern country which is a relatively big oil and gas producer, has made big commitments to reduce greenhouse gases.

Mulroney and the PCs led the world on cutting CFCs and ozone depleting chemicals.

But don't expect the Scheer, Kenney and Moe to show leadership or do anything that might cut oil company profits.

Norway Sweden Finland are not norther countries. They lie on the atlantic current and have a climate closer to BC than most of Canada. Only two place on the planet have a climate like Canada and thats Canada and Siberia.

Oslo is at 59 degrees north. Most of Norway's land mass is very far north. Saskatchewan starts at 49 degrees and ends at 60 degrees North.

Oslo has a milder climate but it also has winter and cold weather and a large number of electric cars.

Southern Ontario where almost a third of the population lives also has a milder climate than western Canada.

There are a lot of reasons why Canada has higher per capita emissions. Climate is only part of the reason.

kind of like when they discover r124a was a thousand times worse on the ozone layer than r12.

Still only a bit over 1% - big deal!

Maybe don't commit suicide, MASSIVE CO2 released in cremation, and even decomposition.

Latitude means nothing. Paris and London are roughly same latitude as Montreal and Maritimes. Same climate? Not a chance.

Norwegians and Swedes all live along the coast just like in BC. No northern countries have anything in common with the Canadian prairies except Siberia.
