Judging by your misguided attempt at making a strawman argument, You have obviously been taking lessons from Austranada, who keeps using that word while having no idea what it means.

But since we are all here to learn, Carbon isn't soot, soot is Carbon. By definitiona black powdery or flaky substance consisting largely of amorphous carbon, produced by the incomplete burning of organic matter. It used to be a really big problem in early industrial cities, an actual pollutant. In modern times, we have achieved nearly complete combustion of fossil fuels whereby virtually all of the hydro carbons are converted into beneficial and completely harmless CO2 and H20

So what is the right amount of CO2 to have in the atmosphere? If you know for sure that 410 ppm is too much, how much did we overshoot? At what point do you "believe" that the benefits of increased photosynthesis and everything that relies on it, are outweighed by the perceived negatives?

Then why did you support the process of cutting them down to burn them for electricity?

"Multiple studies published in peer-reviewed scientific journals1 show that 97 percent or more of actively publishing climate scientists agree*: Climate-warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities. In addition, most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position. The following is a partial list of these organizations, along with links to their published statements and a selection of related resources."

Temperature data showing rapid warming in the past few decades, the latest data going up to 2018. According to NASA data, 2016 was the warmest year since 1880, continuing a long-term trend of rising global temperatures. The 10 warmest years in the 139-year record all have occurred since 2005, with the five warmest years being the five most recent years. Credit: NASA's Earth Observatory. Download still image.

Who took those readings and what kind of instruments were they using from 100,000 years ago?

These are calculations based on a what humans have known for the last 150 years....a mere second in the whole scheme of things ...with no caveat put on their calculations ....like what was going on during that time period just guesses....

Science is a guys to make the calculation fit....if it doesn't , they add a collorary or extra equations ( a sidebar ) to make it fit...

Its like this ....if you get a flat tire ..blow it up...or put on the spare ...or call a tow truck....what ever fits the circumstance.....

Chuck, you are a very frustrating student, after all the effort we have put into helping educate you, and you are back to using consensus as evidence. Perhaps you really are a lost cause.

From the engineer who thinks carbon is only soot! LOL

Why not get off your ass and provide some credible science to back up your claims?

You have had many months since I first asked you last winter. Your first excuse was you were too busy! LOL What's your excuse now?

Why don't you contact NASA and NOAA and all the other world class scientific organizations and tell them they are wrong about human caused climate change!

Temperatrue has no corelation with CO2. As you would expect from a natural gas used by plants that makes up less than 1% of the atmosphere. Chuck wouldnt survive in a real science class.

There is no such thing as credible science when 100 years of actual climate data is deleted and all predictions are made by “modelling”. Where is the credible science? Today’s science is proving to be left-wing lunacy and anyone who refutes it and calls out the hoax is vilified. Back to the stone ages!

On a day like today, one can't help but admire chuck's dedication, tenacity and even bravery. When the next thread up is how much snow you got on how much crop is left out, Forecast is abysmal, after a summer that wasn’t yet still takes time out of his day to lecture us about the horrors of global warming. I can't imagine a tougher crowd or worse timing to preach that message to.

You did not choose the easy road, and that is commendable.

I thought chuck was working out the carbon balance in Canada turns out he was just practicing his cut and paste skills and his NASA NOAA worship.
