The reason those Nam refugees didn't stay is because there were only a handful of them, May is thinking more in lines with Merkle, where she sent more migrants than the citizens, that lived in those small towns and villages. Some places ended up with 2 or even 3 times the migrants as were German citizens before the arrivals. A village of 200 would end up with 600 migrants, a town of 600 would end up with 1200 migrants. This has happened, remember Germany took in over a million migrants in one year alone.
Just as insulting is Singh implying he'll fill the prairies with wind turbines and solar panels and then run the power back to the large centers through a "power corridor".

The new immigrants can barely tolerate Regina, how are they going to get along in some remote town?
They will likley immigrate twice, once onto the prairies and then to Toronto and Vancouver.
Someone should tell them the normal climate in Sask is worse than anywhere in the world undergoing climate change.

With still 3 weeks to go, are the liberals approaching a look of desperation with their financial promises. How much more can they throw at the voters before people start to realize the adults have left the building. Maybe the liberal strategists feel most of their potential liberal voters think the government is a corporation like google or amazon with unlimited cash.
But remember, Gerald Butts who is running the re-election campaign also helped Dalton McGuinty plunge Ontario into debt oblivion, Mr. Butts likes spending other peoples money and then walking away.
At what point does it start to hurt the liberals, 3 weeks is a long time, if the liberals have a panic attack it could get bizarre.
