you guys are hilarious. A few hundred thousand farmers and oil workers who think the world revolves around them believe everyone in their province agrees with their separation politics. Really, how many urbanites in the major cities - other than likely Calgary - do you think would agree to separation? Winnipeg and Regina both voted solidly against Conservatives last election. Edmonton was a close race in most ridings and elected both Liberal and NDP last time. Even Calgary elected 2 Liberals in 2015.
Lets assume you did have your separation vote and a city like Edmonton voted to stay in Canada. So if separation is just a majority vote, does that mean Edmonton could separation from the separatist Alberta thereby taking a million people out of your country, a million people who supply services and goods you need? Where does separation end?
If you guys would put as much work into solving problems as you do complaining and harebrained me first schemes maybe we would not end up with bottom of the barrel government leaders.
