He got to ask The drunk green leader questions last night about agriculture's role in the climate change hysteria ....

too bad he didn't get to ask Trudeau or Scheer....

I am sure you guys are smart enough to find this in the news....I do not know how to post or attach videos...

        Thanks for clearing that up.

You didn't miss anything useful. The guy's a lightweight.

I'd have paid to see someone like Brad Hanmer take on the boozy old broad.

What a waste of time watching that was. There are 8 minutes I won’t get back. Needed to ask harder questions and not let her just ramble on about more in country consumption.

I liked that he pointed out what the conservatives did to agriculture and how little the liberals did in the last 4....

He made good points....but that forum is set up for 30 second sound bites....the guy is definitely stressed....

I got that her reply was that we will process the product and eat it here which will cost more for you and I and then export the rest to the world that doesn’t want it or pay the value for it. She doesn’t care about actual farmers just urban rooftop farmers. Like f*** me. This country is going in the sh*tter real quick.

I understood what he was getting at but anyone else not related to agriculture wouldn’t have had a clue.

He did a far better job than the woman who can’t afford kids but keeps popping them out did....wheres my money....#fresh off the boat

Watched the segment, but lost track of how many times he said, sent us a cheque, give us a cheque, we need a cheque, not cool and embarrassing to watch as a farmer!

What he needed to do, in front of all those watching, was ask them "why should Canadian Farmers be stuck with the carbon tax cost for the food they produce that Canadians buy in the store" and perhaps suggest that the carbon tax be applied to groceries at the check-out counter!!
(suppose this would require and explanation on how farmers have no method of passing the carbon tax on to the consumer, which would take time)

When she says you can't tax groceries, then he should have reiterated, why should farmers be burdened to pay the carbon tax for the food you eat! Then point out the deception, that some carbon is already hidden into the grocery store prices, mostly trucking freight, warehouse storage, retail store carbon costs, but next to no farmer carbon costs.

Also, point out, carbon input exemptions are minimal, and are only a small portion of all carbon used to grow food.

I wish he would have spent more time speaking of all the innovation that has already taken place in ag, that farmers aren't credited for. We were taken action before this issue turned into a crisis.

Anyone know how he would have been picked to speak on this? Is he a usual, go to farmer, for the local CBC?

Tell me one 4 th generation farm family that hasn't received a government handout and name the generation?????

Then tell what industry in Canada that hasn't received government loans that have been paid back in full....

Then tell me the number of jobs that are directly impacted by this crop not getting off....

And how many jobs there are in the other industries that have received money on the potential jobs????

If no one is going to say " we deserve as much respect as the insert industry name here then what is the point

Because my next job will probably be for an industry that does receive government handouts....
