Rained last three days here, single digit highs and more rain the forecast.

Area likely 2/3 done here.
Canola 14.5 yesterday and couldn't feed it anyway.
Guys are getting good premiums here for drying or overdrying.
Great incentive to buy a dryer if that's in your plan.
Guys with no dryers have to store a big, wet wheat crop or pay the other side of the drying premium.
Walmart doesn't pay for off spec, but jeez, putting diesel in gens and frost fighters gets old fast lol.
Every farm over certain size will have a dryer here now. Just some will have 2-3 times the energy cost.

My cereals mostly done. Some guys not
All peas seem done except for an obvious insurance play.

Here in West Central Sask, we missed the snow and not alot of rain this fall, lots of tuff canola coming off and some guys are sitting waiting for dry.i know, I think theyre crazy also.point is, stuff is not cooperating even under good conditions, throw in a rain or fog every second day has to be discouraging to say the least.c cousin west of Lloyd same conditions as you saskfarmer rain every day. Frustrating but we still have time. Rosalie from CBC radio calls when things turn rough in our area and she asked when does it get really stressful, I said November 7 th. Hopefully it holds out till then at about 60% done.
