In the real world combine classes don’t mean much we found .
So the Verdict, they both did a very good job , in wheat the 9240 set up with the MAD concaves is a beast now so was a good 20% more , and should be . The 9240 I can run up to 1500 bus / hr with low losses . The 750 was around 1200 maxed out
Canola they were very close , you simply can’t push the case machines in canola. Both were at capacity around 900 bus / hr .
Black beans the case had a better sample , less cracks but once the Lexion got dialed in it was decent.
Soybeans was hard to tell both did a good job in the early (000) beans . The 00 beans had lots of frozen rubbery pods that no machine could thrash lol. Plus we did not want to . The seed in those pods in garbage anyway.
There is a MAV on both but the MAV on the Lexion sits too high and only does the straw. A tail wind and your cleaning the air filter daily on the Lexion. But that seems to be just an issue with the 750’s . The newer ones and 760’s , 780’s with Dynamic cooling are much better but also several $100,000 more lol .
Overall, I would still take the 9240. It’s so simple and reliable . The Lexion is a decent machine for it size , complex, and is a big learning curve.
I think once we learn to use it more next year it won’t be that far behind the case over all.
The amount of pully’s , belts , bearings and bushings scare me on the Lexion but time will tell.
A 760 Lexion would be a much closer machine but that was way way out of our price range given the mediocre crop and low grain prices .
One thing though , not an apples ðŸ apples 🎠comparison . This Lexion is less than half $ of the Case as well .
So it will work for us for now .
In a dream world where we get more than 5 inches of rain in the growing season and crop prices were back to reality, 2 9240’s with MADs and Mavs would be ideal for us.
But every area and farm is different.
Plus we have no surplus revenue from oil on any part of our land so what we get from our crops is all we get . It’s a different world west and north west of us with much higher rainfall and oil wells dotting the landscape lol
Sorry for the long “verdict†Herc lol , but it was foggy this morning so I had time to think for a change , which can be dangerous lolLast edited by furrowtickler; Oct 18, 2019, 10:17.

Just listened on the radio to Boxal what a ****ing asshole.hes done because he has dryers and pushes it and guys down south aren’t prepared.
**** you I have a bigger dryer than your little shit show I pushed every single day I have all tough grain that’s dry now and we go when it flows it goes. Only get one two days then it rains.
But that’s farmers mentality I’m done I’m special attitude.

I've heard she is a holistic type of person.
She may also give you some advice about drying grain.
