      Not sure of area.
      Done to 20% left depending.
Blessed by the local colony and pulled an all nighter Monday. Still recovering lol.
Hindsight might have finished without but I'm not sorry to pay that bill.
      Finished standing canola yesterday.
Why do I do that to myself????
Going off to a neighbors today.

      Question.
After 4 years of this. And after spending money on infrastructure for efficiencies.
Am I being forced to buy another combine??? Last thing I want to do.
      Is 1800/ the new normal?????
How long is this solar minimum sposed to last????

        One more.
The psychological roller coaster of the last few weeks has been taxing. And somehow different than the previous 3 years. So many stays of execution you get numb and punch drunk.
Take care and bank up on sleep when you can can. Cherish close friends.

Guys are rolling in canola. It’s 10 no frost last night and wind is coming up. Moving slow so 11 looks like start time.

Good for you blackpowder and good to see you have a good enough relationship with your Hutterite neighbours that you can work together. So often they are portrayed in a negative light that certainly didn't reflect the reality of my interaction with them while I was in AB living right next door to a colony. I couldn't have asked for better neighbours - we were able to help each other out several times over the years as good neighbours do.

20% done here east of Edmonton. I am not equipped to dry so most will be spring thrash. What is off was %tough. We got rain on Oct 4. 7&8, 13&14 and the 22nd. Area is around 75% done with mostly canola and some oats left. Yards full of wet grain. Some missed one of the rains so got a bit of almost dry grain off. Nowhere close to dry in immediate area.

We had a 2 day rain shower interruption and we were back at it yesterday, got him down to 45 acres left by the time we quit last night. Today have to some fencing and start moving cows home, weather forecast looks to take a turn tonight. Woodland, it certainly looks like finishing up wasn't much fun! For those not yet finished I hope the weather improves and you can get it done!
It was as much fun as trying to make hay in the continual rain all summer. 😉 The hydro’s we rebuilt in this unit a month ago are acting the same as when they cratered and only limps along a few mph on the road. Yippee

Still bringing wounded shrapnel home from the fields here. Got a tandem with a broken frame cross member that needs some tlc 20 miles from home too. Nice to always have a backup unit around. Picking on the “hot” bins to run through the dryer first and hoping the others can wait till their time comes.

Hit the 70% harvest with a late night on dry canola. Today had a major break down but feeder-house apart and top shaft we broke in half getting changed out.

Warehouse is out of most wear parts. Don’t screw up a rethrasher or front reverser gear box.

Snow north of us last night and rain showers mixed with snow by Regina. Wind is insane.

Some combining started here yesterday and today, more up towards Brandon where they got less snow. Canola, beans and corn all being attempted. Pitiful some places round here, guys just able to pick off pieces on hilltops. Lots of low spots under water or snow. Saw one graincart sunk with no wheels visible.
