Since confederation it’s always been east vs west. They don’t want us to succeed.

It’s time to play hard ball.

          This right here.

Nobody takes the first bid offered. Shop around. Tell Trump what Alberta offers and what the US can do to sweeten the deal to join. Then hold a referendum and let the voters decide. Fuuck Trudeau and the East altogether.

-Buying ‘carbon credits’ to supposedly offset your flying (Trudeau/Liberals)

Someone with more details could make a short list of Quebec Hydro gifts from the start.
                  I believe all others pale.

"The United States federal government is suing California and other state entities, accusing them of trying to conduct their own foreign policy with Quebec by entering into a climate agreement.

“The state of California has veered outside of its proper constitutional lane to enter into an international emissions agreement. The power to enter into such agreements is reserved to the federal government, which must be able to speak with one voice in the area of U.S. foreign policy,” said Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Bossert Clark in a statement."

Do you think this constitutional disagreement will be settled before either Trump resigns, is impeached or loses in 2020?

Isn't this a case of the President trying to tell the State of California what to do? I thought you guys were opposed to Trudeau telling Alberta what to do! Don't you want more independence for Alberta or would you rather the President of the USA tell you what to do?

I’d rather not see anyone be able to pollute more just from buying some bogus paper credits . It would help save the environment if they just reduced pollution. Plus Quebec gets way way too much free money already for doing nothing

The US constitution is clear that the President onlu has authority for outside trade deals. Its not a federal state thing. The states have their power conferred to them by their congressional representatives. Thats a repubulic. Thats why states like ND have clout.

Canada is a confederation, loosely tied together provinces with a power distributed to make decisions for their own good not dictated by a far away detached govt.

US founder were top notch smart people. Our founders might have been too, but they couldn't foresee people electing a virtual retard.

If your position is that carbon credits have no value and can't be traded then its hard to argue that farmers should get any credit or value for best management practices that reduce carbon emissions like reduced tillage systems.
