"That's not how science works. The ones making the claim must provide irrefutable evidence. The bigger the claim the more robust the evidence must be. And since both the science, the data and the on ground observations do not match prediction, it should be tossed, or remain a fringe theory."

You are so right, it's all THEORY COMPUTER MODELS of what MIGHT happen. Nothing can be proven. Their past claims NEVER happened. Why believe anything they say. Show us the EMERGENCY, where? And what can be immediately done to STOP the EMERGENCY? What are you "over a barrel"?

you sure would need a big back up gen set to run them though?
that is becoming a very big concern for me with the warmer seasons getting shorter and more chance of wet snow on power lines
kinda nice to have gas that you can run your furnace with a little honda generator

We broke our record low by a mere 10 degrees C this morning. Barely started harvest on crops that never got ripe, snow on the ground, and no hope in the forecast. Not trying to confuse weather with climate here, but I have to ask:

When the global warming trolls on Agriville choose a time such as this for lecturing real farmers about global warming, are they:
        a) Just completely insensitive, malicious jerks who love to kick someone when they are down?
        b) So fully disconnected from Agriculture, and conditions on the ground in western Canada that they haven't a clue the devastation and distress this weather is causing, and don't comprehend the poor timing of their attacks.
        c) Just another day at the office, just doing their job, with no ill intent, just indifference since their paycheque relies upon it.

There is a time and place for everything, this is neither.

According to Chuck I am in the backwoods of Northern Alberta. But last I checked, I am west of Red Deer a little too far. We are well within the Chinook belt, so still have a decent chance of getting back to harvest.

If so you are an idiot.
Understand your point, but by the same token which of those scientists have personally experienced the weather over a period of time at saskfarmers farm, I'm guessing none so how can they tell him what the weather was? They cant, especially with removing the historical data from the mix.

I bet if a First Nations Elder made a comment about how there weather had changed and impacts on their lives it would be taken as gospel.

My personal observations are in past years we had many more extremes than we do now. I remember lots of blizzards with 10ft snow drifts and cold, and also lots of summers where we had a couple days of +40 weather, and also some amazing electrical storms but always had lots of perfect days in between year round.

What I see now is that we have less extremes, just shitty weather all the time.

And your observations would be backed up by the scientific evidence. Extreme weather is getting less extreme and less frequent, along with associated deaths.

AB5 we have had some warmish weather the last few winters and some weaker chinooks but we havent really gotten the plus 15 super windy days that last for a week like we used to. Here's hoping, I need it too.

So according the chuck I should trust sloth and slug scentists too becauase you know they are all scientists. You know those ones that sit and beg for tax payer funding for their dream research project then link it up to a climate scam to get it approved. Like your govt paid heart surgeon doing cancer research.
