Have to admit I get very tired of the climate change debate. All I know is it is supposed to be -27 with the wind chill tonight, fml. I still have manure to haul and cows to get home. But one thing I am thankful for on a cold night like this is my natural gas furnace, certainly takes the chill off. Solar and wind are fine to reduce our use of fossil fuels but anybody who thinks in this climate that they can supply 100% of our energy needs is severely mentally challenged.

Then you, sir, are the one attempting to misinform. You reference a Wikipedia article discussing a European heat wave which makes extensive comments on RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES. Then say it doesn't matter

Was going to reply earlier, but as a farmer I was too busy to reply . Just going out to move some more grain so I will reply when I can .
And BTW , your not the teacher at a high school here . Don’t tell the rest of us wtf we can or can’t do or think ... so yes start a new thread if you want to chat about globalist warming , or climate change , or climate emergency, or climate catastrophe or whatever the *** you want to call it and stop derailing nearly every single thread with your preaching . It’s Canada , a free country that promotes freedom of speech , so stop the b/s .
Post some reality, did you get done harvest, how were the yields , how was quality in your area ? Did you go help neighbours? Did you have to dry much ?
Did you have enough bin space ? How are falling grades on your farm ?
This is a harvest report thread BTW ?
If not , start a new thread on globalist warming.....
I repeat it was not me who derailed this post, it was you in post 17 responding to bucket comment about global warming. So why don't you practice what you are preaching. If you don't want to be challenged on you climate position, don't post about it and I won't ask you questions about your position.
If as you point out, this is a free country that promises free speech so I should have every bit of a right as you do to post a question about a comment you have made on the thread on which you made it. You are not the administrator of this site so why you think you have the right to tell anyone else on this forum where and what they can post, but at the same time you feel you have the right to post anything, including personal questions of me and my farm is beyond me.

It is also amazing you are not telling Jazz or farming101 or all the other posters who agree with your climate position that they should not be posting their opinions, charts, etc about climate change on this thread. As long as they agree with you, it is acceptable for them to post whatever where ever, is that right?

It’s sounds like he and chucky are co-owners in a climate alarmist propaganda business.

I too would like to hear if the climate alarmists have their crop off and if they require fossil fuels to dry their grain.

Yesterday had a conversation with a city friend of mine who is moving to an acreage. He has grand dreams of building a new shop with solar panels and a roof at the right angle to accommodate this. Then use the solar to generate power to run an in-floor heating system. All this solar will also have his driveway with electric heat to melt the snow.

I said and what happens if we have a two-week blizzard in min 40 in January.

Oh ill still hook up with natural gas because electric heat doesn't heat as well.

Off the friend's list, you can't be that ****ing stupid.

City people believe this bullshit hands down.

I just don't get it how ordinary people are falling for this bullshit. Our grandfathers worked like fools to get ahead in this country. The day my grandfather got natural gas, he almost died with delight: no more stinky homes and no more chopping wood or coal.

Now idiots want to take a cold country and turn us all into poor peasants.

Naural gas is cheap; it's clean and its excellent heat.

Ever visit someone's home who has electric baseboard heaters in min 40 temps. You make an excuse to head home because of its cold outside. Reality is its cold inside their home.

Phone family or friends in Europe and ask how they spend their evenings — yep sitting in the living room with a blanket on them and in the dark because electricity is so expensive.

Solar fields look like shit. We have them in Florida. Complete quarter or more of ugly black solar panels where once swamp was or orange trees. Ah, the smell of orange blossoms. Yea solar does jack shit. Even Mickie is cute when you fly in but drive by it and its an eyesore.

In Canada, we have rivers, dam them and create water reserves and power. Oh, it's so bad. **** You, morons, it's great.

Stupid people are running the world its time to take it back.

Walter like all dreamers in Solar most of the costs he hasn't figured out. He knows he needs backup heat. Solar could run costly in winters. Piss poor heating for home he also knows. Yes, Sask energy charges for hook up, but you think any hook up is cheap?
