    Precision Ag Conference

Farms.com Precision Agriculture Conference & Ag Technology Showcase is being held November 26-27, 2019 in Calgary Alberta. https://cvent.me/x2zz3 https://cvent.me/x2zz3

2019 continues to be a difficult year, with several challenges that are outside our control, at the same time it’s an exciting time as the next wave of technology hits the industry.

Whether you are starting to adopt precision ag, looking for what’s next, or you are fully integrated and want to share your findings this conference will be beneficial for you to attend.

What Precision Ag technologies are you currently using on your farm?

Precision Ag is so laughable. Take a look outside. Can someone please precisely remove the snow from on top of my canola???

So the data can be siphoned off and sold to other countries and show them how we farm. Not a chance will I participate in this. Only precision ag too I have is auto steer.

Prediction Ag.... hair splitting technology in a very imperfect environment, or technology for people who already have everything! Yup, keep driving down your production costs with expenses so you can compete with cheaper producing areas of the world and sell for less!!!!

I guess it's best to be on the cutting edge than a dullard!!!!

I barely understand the electric over hydraulic switch concept to engage the separator on a combine.

We’re going more and more “old school” here. GPS, autosteer, and section control on the sprayer is plenty for me. Heck we don’t even keep individual records (fields, cows, etc...) of anything since we used to but never used them for anything. Makes life easier since there’s enough paperwork to keep the government happy.

Hard to shoot for “perfection” when lately we’re happy just to get the crop off in whatever condition Ma Nature allows us to.

KISS theory all the way for me😎

I don't believe VR anything pays more than it costs however autosteer and section control is essential on some machines. I don't think I could run my sprayer without the GPS aids it has. 15 mph trying to keep track of foam marks and flipping 15 foot sections on and off perfectly on 90 feet as I go around all the low spots in the field? All the while on the boom height buttons keeping them from slamming the ground as I go up and down hills? Yeah that's not happening without autosteer gps, section control and boom height control. Is rate control precision ag? I remember when I started farming with dad 5 mph at 40 psi was 10 gallons per acre. Deviate from that at your peril. No pickup truck for you next weekend if you ****ed up.

Now outfits that want that oh so cheap little GPS puck plugged into your combine can just go get ****ed. Only precision consultant I need I'll hire for huge dollars from his Cayman Island office. I might let him sleep with my wife.
