    "weather"

-15° Celcius @ 6 a.m. I expect it to drop a bit more until sunrise.
Average low for this day -7°
Record low in was in 1984 @ -21.6

Is it too late to spray post harvest?

I'd get out there now before the wind chill gets up.

Between getting harvest finished pens ready for calves and assorted other fall jobs I finally got to soil testing yesterday, was surprised how froze the ground is. Those plants and any activity within them are going to be near zero, if your conditions are similiar. The chem will breakdown before it has a chance to translocate to the roots I'm afraid. I just saw an article that said if there's green tissue and a period of 10 degrees or better the plants can still be pushing sugars down but the forecast for here is nothing like that so I know our machine is winterized and asleep until April.

You’re getting our cold “weather” from two days ago. Currently-5 at 7 am and shooting for +7 today. Break out the shades since it looks like the kids will have a brown Halloween.😎

Been a few years since that happened. 🎃

I would worry about penetrating the foliage under 6 inches of snow. Better up the water to 40 gal.

There were guys out spraying and the temperature was plus 2 a few days ago...but I doubt they were using glyphosate...probably some soil or moisture activated chemical for next year...

I just know I am glad we took time time to put more sprayer antifreeze in and made sure it got to the end of the booms....or I would have a popsicle for a sprayer...
