BASF Invigor rate pisses me off. Any other canola that has decent pod shatter?

A few thoughts on canola. Truflex was a bust in this area as well, would not dry down and less yield than other RR varieties in this area. Dekalb 75-42CR seems to work well in this area. Personally grow invigor the L234 PC and L255 PC varieties work well in this area. Talked to my supplier, looks like Invigor will be $10 a bag less than last year which is really a joke, they lower their price less than 2% when we are getting roughly 12% less. From a overall yield perspective not much difference in this area between RR and Invigor varieties. Less green seed issues in the Invigor.

A quick question a little off topic but related, in listening to post harvest stories from neighbors it appears the Lexion is a fantastic wheat combine but not as effective in swathed canola, many many hours to unplug and plugs a lot. Added sunflower kit helped a bit but still plugs. Just wondered what others have experienced?

Hoping to try Brevant ( Corteva) B3010M next year on some acres. No real word knowledge / experience with its pod shatter capacity but plots looked good.

Invigor 234Pc did very well here given the ridiculous weather this year. Still have some 233P out in wind scattered swaths... need some nice days yet to get it.

We tried three varieties this year that all claimed pod shatter to a degree. Invigor was the only true pod shatter, the other two suffered heavy loses. Granted we should have harvested the canola sooner and not let it stand so long in the elements but mother nature didn't allow that.

Going forward we will only trust Invigor as a pod shatter straight cut and will have to see it to believe it on the competitor varieties.

Know a couple guys that grew some against 233, one said it was equal, other was 3 bu better than 233. There was some shelling, as it’s not a true pod shatter. It seems like a decent variety.

All SeedCos have to claim they have a pod shatter variety on their roster....even if it really isn't!

Apparently very good club root resistance too. We still swath most acres but the pod shatter trait is still very important for us. Will probably try a field or two of 3010M. Thanks for the info.
