Frost fighter and small generator hanging off back of header, sock under the feader house. On off switch right in the cab. Bet it could be set up in under 15 minutes. Not sure if you would want to run it all the time or just a 5 min dethaw every hour or whatever.
One gallon of diesel has 147k btus of energy. Lets say you avg 15g/hr thats 2.2m btu's. Typical diesel is 40% efficient, 35% is waste heat mainly handled by the Rad, in a turboed diesel exhaust about 25%. So a 350k frost fighter would give you the same approx amount of heat as pumping in the exhaust.Last edited by biglentil; Nov 6, 2019, 21:44.

RV antifreeze can help stop freezing of chaffer... but waited till noon and frost burned off today so no ice in standing Canola... 13% moisture...afternoon got back up to -4 and went through great lots of dust . Swaths are bad now... blown around machine wreckers... straw too tough... can see why straight cutters go with antipod shatter if not lodged bad works great... good yields being harvested. Close to 300ac done... takes lots of power... make sure to prevent slug feeding. Cheers
