I have much less stress not being in any program. Scrap them all and guys won't be quite so eager to put their neck in a noose, thinking they will be okay even if shit hits the fan. Bring a dose of reality to the market. Everyone grows less and invests less in crops that no one gives a shit about it first place. If government gave a shit, there would be one-time payments for every primary individual in every market that Turdo ****ed up the last year. $20,000 will cover my beef losses from that chink **** being arrested in Vancouver. But still waiting on my BSE payment which is well over 10x that, so I don't hold much hope.

I sure wouldn't want to rely on Crop Insurance, AgStabbed-in-the-back, or AgInvest-less to ensure the viability of my operation!

Anyone who "farmed for Insurance" is out of the business here, they unintentionally wean themselves from the farm the more dependent they become on income from insurance programs.

Do you think it took a room full of senior Actuaries to devise that formula that would seldom, if ever, pay out a benefit?

It is almost the perfect forensic financial audit program.

One has to wonder which is more valuable to the government?
1) providing financial backstops?
Or
2) the detailed look into the industry that this MASSIVE amount of multi-year data provides?

Also not to be overlooked is the sheer number of government jobs that can be pork-barreled into politically important regions associated with this programs administration.

If it was #1, the trigger point would be more realistic.

If its #2, combined with the "make work" aspect, the trigger point is exactly where they want it..
