You mean those same Canadian soldier who donned a Pakistani flag for their separatist movement and then marched down the street of Toronto with weapons drawn? Hmmm, very Canadian.

You need a hard lesson on what hard work is versus sacrifice and commitment. Figure those things out and you might get it.

We seem to have a failure to communicate. When Cherry said, "you people", he didn't say you brown, black or yellow people. "You people" includes white people. Chuck, you seem to be focused on other colours. Perhaps you have the doll our problem not Don Cherry.

Cherry's incident now has some people keeping score on poppies around here. Interestingly, German and French immigrants here wore poppies as did Filipino and African immigrants. South African (white) was observed not wearing poppy.

Its pretty clear what Cherry said about the folks who live in Toronto where there are large numbers of recent immigrants of colour and and way fewer recent white immigrants. "You people come here"

Cherry is trying to backtrack now on what he said to make it sound like he meant everybody of every colour. Good luck with that!

But considering Cherry's track record and conservative views it is pretty clear he doesn't like immigrants.

And why are we condemning anybody for not wearing a poppy? A poppy is just a symbol. I don't see poppies on everyone in my own community and I find it offensive to suggest that those who don't wear poppies don't respect our veterans or acknowledge their sacrifices. How would you know just by looking at them?

A poppy costs nothing and means nothing if you don't really support our veterans with real tangible health and disability benefits. Which both the Liberals and Conservatives have struggled to do.

How many priests who dress in fancy clothes and wear a cross have been found guilty of abusing children? A cross is just a symbol like the poppy and it means nothing in some cases.

What is in peoples hearts, character and what they say and do is what matters.

Chuck didn't our minister of defense lie about getting shot at in Afghanistan? Seems when the real soldiers set him straight he was forced to apologise.

Truth sucks doesn’t it. Don just has the balls to say what is what. If we had more politicians like him our country wouldn’t be in such a social mess. No free rides, everyone has the same benefits and chances as the other we all work and prosper for the benefit of our country but no that’s not how it works anymore. One section of the country is more important than the other which in turn creates animosity and resentment. One race gets all the free money and opportunity to better themselves if they so desired. Another race comes to our country for the freedom and all the benefits that go with it then turn around and screw the very country that helped give them a life with very little appreciation and respect for those that created the benefits they enjoy. Then another race gets blamed for every wrong doing of the past and here we are. One big happy family all fighting over shit that doesnt matter in the long run. Everyone blaming the other for all their problems. There would be a lot less frustration if we had leaders with common sense instead of special interests dictating their agendas. These last few years with captain dancie pants hasnt helped it has only added to the wussification of our society.
