Everyone is talking pipelines....even farm groups like SARM ....but that is a 3 year build before its operational....agriculture is in a bit of a bind now....
Then there are the farm groups that say its because the liberals are in that there is a problem getting agriculture on the front pages...nope....its the farm groups fault because they don't do their job or are incompetent...
Moe doesn't bring it up....none of the conservative MPs bring it up.....

Moe and Kenney both had a chance to design a carbon tax to do whatever they want. Both have a carbon tax on large industrial emitters.
Both premiers could have designed a tax that would have benefited farmers with rebates and incentives. They could have used the tax to lower income taxes or other taxes in a strategic way that best met the needs of their province.
They both argue against the carbon tax as a job and industry killer and then go on to impose a carbon tax on large emitters. WTF? Do they think we are all stupid?
The Federal carbon tax is being rebated to individuals and families. Again Moe and Kenney don't tell the truth.
Both are using the carbon tax as a wedge in their fight against Ottawa and the imposition of tougher regulations on the oil industry.
They really seem to be just representing the oil industry and ignoring many of the other industries that are also vitally important, like agriculture.

Saskatchewan residents have been paying a carbon tax for as long as the CCS on the coal fired power plants has been in place....along with the costs of decommissioning the existing coal plants and adding wind and solar...
People think the subsidy for solar panels isn't a form of a carbon tax ought to give their head a shake....
Sadly out of all of this nonsense the biggest losers are farmers because they should be paid for their changes to their farming practices that have helped mitigate the effects of the religion....
No one will pay farmers for the sequestering even thought the science is done on the tonnage put into the ground every year...
Its odd that the science of no till farming is discounted as soon as anyone talks about getting credits for better farming practices....
Meanwhile nature conservancy of canada is given 100 million for their efforts....and all they do is a poor job of managing lands they have aggregated over the years....
Look at a DU or NCC sign sometime and see who is funding them .....

And no need to resort to name calling for asking a simple question. Although I understand, since usually people get mad and start calling names when they don’t have a meaningful rebuttal to what is asked of them.
And just so you know, I never said anything for or against the oil industry. All I asked was why we needed both a provincial tax and a carbon tax. So I don’t know why you are asking me about my position on that?

If you would clarify who the ass party is maybe I could answer that. Not a clue who you are talking about. All I am speaking are my beliefs.

At the very least, the pst should be transformed into a true VAT. The pst is brutal in that it gets charged on the full value of the goods or services sold every single time along the value chain. A true VAT only gets charged on the value that is added from each transaction to the next.

Are crying about it and saying nothing about the pst that costs us farmers way more. Asking people why that is?
If we want better we have to be open minded and challenge what ever has a detrimental effect on us farmers regardless of what political party brings on the problem.
The Ass party is is in government complete asses towards us farmers. Worse than ndp.
Is there a good government in Alberta right now? If there is we need to do the same punt then ass party then we ll get a good government afterwards. Otherwise we re stuck with the asses
