    Quebec...Freezing with the lights on?

National news... Hospitals, Farmers, and an endless list... rationing propane... corn harvest on hold.... I hear they are under half done... the green province... shivering in the cold?

No pipeline from Alberta... only 100 propane emergency rail cars ...by CN... from Alberta.... that can't make it in time????

CP rail? USA supply??? Liberals refuse to send CN workers back to work... Union blames CN saying intentional propane shortage...

Hospitals are Hostages... Hostage farmers tractor blockade in Montreal at CN head office...???

Freezing with the lights still on... Ironic don't you think... Liberals... no way early recall of Parliament...on national news...

    Astounding...

Why is it only Quebec that is short of fuel? Either nobody is or everyone in east is not just one province or does everyone else get fuel from other source?

Rural Ontario is just as short of propane but voted blue so doesn’t count. The cities mostly switched to NG long ago. The east coast gets theirs mostly by boat and then truck, no rail needed

And meanwhile natural gas is being flared off in western Canada because they refused to deal with us .
Like the pouty jealous neighbour that resents his next door neighbour because he may be perceived to be wealthier than him .
Will not buy cows or seed from them in fear of giving them a bit of money and don’t dare want to see them get ahead .
Sad socialist mentality, and it’s true.

Someone said that cities have electric heat from hydro and large institutions need back up propane, diesel.

Electric heat is extremely inefficient. The losses in the lines alone are huge and then through baseboard heaters in your house? A forced air furnace is way more efficient. No energy losses in the natural gas as its transported and if a line is cut somewhere, you can still heat on line pack for a few hours. Lines are all buried and protected. Would never have electric heat. So much for the solar and wind fantasy.

Electric heat is big in apartment and office buildings, not so much in detached houses. Rural areas are probably oil first but propane close behind. I’ll stay with butchering trees, my own fire is burning nicely and I have three loads to deliver to customers this weekend

A pipeline is far superior to any hydro connection. Not only it is reliable transport, its dependable storage downstream of the source and near the user. Hydro doesnt check those boxes. Its storage is 1000 miles away from the users and in another form entirely. Its just in time delivery which is fine for your ipad, but not to heat your home or run an industry on.

And what would solar and wind be? Even worse. Their source in not dependable and no local storage.

And all need a fossil fuel back up.

Every environment radical and holier than thou preachers should have their heads slapped after this.

I haven't said this enough....If Moe and Kenney don't use this opportunity to smack some sense into the Quebec politicians .....those two are incompetent...
