"British Columbians are generating fewer greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gas emissions per person in British Columbia have declined over the past decade and stabilized in recent years. Greenhouse gas emissions per unit gross domestic product—a measure of the size of the economy—are on the decline in B.C."
Read the details and look at the graphs on the above website and it clearly shows that BCs carbon tax is working and the economy is growing!
So A5 you are wrong again my socialist friend!
And don't worry I pay lots of taxes too! And I am very happy to be farming and living in such a great country, unlike you who thinks the USA is better. You should move there if you think it is so great.Last edited by TASFarms; Dec 1, 2019, 16:45.

After Invironment Canada discarded historic weather data solely for the purpose of shoring up the liberal governments argument in favor of climate change, government C02 numbers have 0 credibility with me. Let's not forget, it was Minister of Loud & Believe in charge at the time.

Manning said it is a market driven approach and not top down because consumers can decide how to reduce emissions.

"Manning has argued tirelessly with Reform's spiritual heirs that simple, revenue-neutral carbon pricing is the most conservative approach available to fighting emissions"
But many Conservative leaders would rather play politics than do anything.
Do you not read what we are posting before responding? Or you only have a set number of cookie cutter responses provided, and cannot adequately respond to anything outside of those topics? Why can you never address the actual questions, or accusations, but go off on a rant about believing in science, or consensus, or what some politician thinks, or about soot, or moving to the US? It leaves the reader with the impression that you are unable and unqualified to answer. There is a saying about opening your mouth and removing all doubt...

if you don't know which side I am on by now your comprehension skills are lacking.
You said a carbon tax doesn't work. BC experience has shown it does. The BC economy and population has grown in but the emissions are coming down relative to GDP.
"Greenhouse gas emissions per unit gross domestic product—a measure of the size of the economy—have consistently declined since 2001 in British Columbia.
Population size and gross domestic product in British Columbia have consistently increased since 2009, while greenhouse gas emissions have either stablized or increased by relatively small increments—compared to population and gross domestic product growth—during this same time period."

If you have evidence and data to the contrary to back up your claim show us or shut up.
But like many of your posts you seem to spend most of your time worrying about me and little time actually presenting any evidence to back up your claims.

The IPCC says that our total emissions must decline 7.6% every year from now until 2030 to prevent climate catastrophe! If B.C.'s overall emissions continue to increase but it is our most successful example of an effective carbon tax where does that leave us? Vancouver has a 17 cents per litre transit tax on gasoline which is higher than the carbon tax per litre, how do you know that isn't the reason for lower consumption? B.C. pays some of the highest prices for gasoline in North America and yet their overall emissions increase and these high prices are created mostly by lack of supply.
