has Trump given up on China trade deal for now

Yesterday at NATO meeting Trump said:
“In some ways I like the idea of waiting until after the election for the China deal,” Mr. Trump said, adding that he had “no deadline” for reaching an accord.

So much for trade wars being easy to win or that a phase one deal was close!

Every day that the trade war goes on, pushed China that much closer to an economic and demographic cliff from which it cannot recover, and pushes the US that much closer to world energy dominance from which the rest of the world will never recover. Why the rush? And imagine a politician who is willing to defer something that he could otherwise take credit for into the next term, possibly for someone else to get all the credit?

Trade wars are easy to win. The Moron in chief will say only he can win a trade deal with another term. The truth is nobody wins trade wars .

In a good trade negotiation both sides win but Dumbo will take his toys home before he would allow that.

The war is over. What was wanted to be accomplished, was done early. If you are still expecting results, you haven't figured it out. How it is, is how it will be. There's no going back. This is the new normal. Globalization is dead

china will not be allowed to make critical technology and embed it in our system. So they better go back to making kids tots before that market is gone too. US companies will start repatriating and Trump will devalue the dollar.

This is over they just don't know it yet.
