So, what gives? CNN reports record-breaking temperatures with fire-fanning winds for Sydney but when I google weather in Sydney Australia, highs are 21-24 degrees for the week.

Really? The FORECAST temps for one city in a country of 7,686,850 square kms has you questioning how hot it actually is in Australia? Do you think Mallee is exaggerating too? I realize that for many on this forum the temperature on their farm on a cold day is the true indicator of global warming and any reports of warmer than normal temps is simply global warming hysteria.

And I can't start a fire here if my life depended on it. Brush piles are soggy wet right through, then covered in ice and snow, and no wind. Even oil and tires will hardly burn.
