Grain companies make as much as they can. If they have a large enough supply and farmers are selling why would they bid up?

the other 20% is feed which will get better in the bin after a year or two, we cannot grow wheat for $5

they wanna give feed for 3/4's of it
what really got me thinking was when the beautiful #1 , 385 FN, 14.5 px , 12.5 mt, we carried over (thats a story for another day) dropped to a 3 in a steel bin , i think we got "curved" like university scores

Be careful what you wish for. More published information might just benefit customers or competitors more than the farmer.
But at least we could see there annual independent audit every year in their annual report. Same as farmer owned grain companies at our annual meeting and audit report.

Wheat in Europe is dealing with a very warm winter so far. If a polar vortex comes down and hits it hard it will have some issues with frost tolerance.
China has the potential for lots of Yellow rust in its wheat.
Just a heads up.
I sound like Don. It has to go up and really only did once in my lifetime to the moon.

1. What do american farmers do with information like knowing forward sales....
2. And Port prices
3. Basis helps only if can look at port prices compared to prairie prices and looking at freight rates...to know if you are getting ripped off...
In other questions why can't you sign the spreads on grades when you sign a forward contract....in this day and age they still use 1950 contracts on grade and protein....
Where is the CGC for updating the industry....
