Didn't want to derail the Admin post but I noticed at the bottom in the FP ad that there is a new oat CDC Arborg, has anyone grown them? I have grown Morgans in the past and switched to Camden the last couple of years, just wondering if these are any better....also do they stand well?

Morgan does not have plant breeders rights attached to it.
Morgan yields like mad with inputs. I have conventional neighbours growing 160-220 bushels per acre.
Morgan has excellent lodging resistance.
Do you really want to leave this variety?
Too many bushels to deal with?

Been growing cambden 3 years , cant decide ?
Cambden definetely shorter, earlier and stand better, weights good
But i dont think they are yielding as good as morgans

I have been growing Minstrel for a few years. I like them and millers seem to as well. Have the old variety Dancer on one side of its pedigree so it has a good disease package. I have never had any significant lodging issues although i dont grow bushels like hobby talks about in his area either.
