Wheat Growers are finally waking up and calling a spade a spade.

Ag has just come off a year that will be best described as ****ed in Canada with trade issues, Crop issues and finally crop out in field and Carbon tax on Drying grain.

The Fed gov does nothing but worries about supply management sector.

So again the Canadian farmer gets the shaft.

Who else is getting sick of this shit?

Read the WCWG latest release and they finally are seeing the light.

I guess farmers are phoning and saying enough is enough.

STudy this shit and pilot programs.

WHAT THe hell is that but bureaucratic bullshit.

News Release lays it out BOBOO and her provincial ministers are totally out to lunch.

The Communique from the Federal, Provincial and Territorial AG Ministers shows a federal government that is completely out of touch with grain farmers and the challenges that they are facing.
“Grain farmers have faced the harvest from Hell, a rail strike, a government stumbling through trade issues, only to have funding go-to supply management commodities. Is this truly the best that the federal government can do? Having another report from government bureaucrats and testing pilot programs in select jurisdictions is a lump of coal in every grain farmers Christmas stocking,” stated Gunter Jochum, President.

Making more money available through cash advance programs that only result in increased farmer debt is not a solution. Having international trade agreements that are not enforced by Canada is a huge impediment to our grain exports. Many farmers still have grain left in the field, now under a blanket of snow and are left with bills to pay and a seriously reduced income.

Most grain farmers are now seeing the very real effect of the carbon tax, losing thousands of dollars out of their bottom line, and no way to pass that cost on to the end consumer. Most farmers are seeing the carbon tax is a 10% reduction in their income.

“The impact of natural weather disasters and a federal government that says that it wants to increase agriculture exports but won’t enforce trade agreements and puts tax barriers up results in a head-shaking situation. Grain farmers are seriously wondering who’s side they are on. We need a Business Risk Management program that acts now.” closed Daryl Fransoo, SK Director.

More importantly the new program should be retroactive just like what the provincial finance ministers are asking for. ..

Set the margin at 90 percent....and redo the previous years....

Put each crop on their own not whole farm...

What the provincial ag ministers have now said is go get private insurance....and who is promoting that ....Marit made mention of it ....but he will want a board seat soon....

Why does the premier, the ag minister and finance minister all say this is a big crop....because they are too stupid to look at the big input bills...and realize that there is a big problem out here...

well that would kinda be unfair to the people who got out cause it is a worthless time wasting program and still have half their crop out?

Lots dropped out because it was totally ****ing Useless.

I'm still in but have to kiss and make up because they are concerned about my 2010 year. Yea since I paid them the 200000 back that we got for 2002 and have never got a penny ever since. Funny how they still care so much.

              It is totally useless.

Now the Go get private insurance. Yea that is a crock of shit also. If you just came through the good years yep it works for a few but if you had the floods your premium is like star wars out of this world.

Canola check off I am forsure asking back as they are totally useless.

I dont want to get people riled up, but not a thing will change until the input suppliers and grain handlers feel it. None of them appear to be worried.

Booking fertilizer today.....same amount of canola going in

Agree 100% with your above statement ..... also add the stealerships, that includes car and truck.
Always nice to see those $100k trucks motoring around. They all need a long cold bath. Problem is the companies come out with these gimmicks deals to entice the “stupid” into buying. It’s almost free when it’s all said and done.

I booked my fert the other day ..... and same amount of canola going in as last year .... BIG FAT ZERO!!!!!

Just listened to Boboos news conference and she says farmers are asking for private insurance along with fed and provincial. **** that I don’t want private insurance that doesn’t ever pay. This is all brought to you by there advisors accountants and these private Insurance.

You really see who is steering the ship on all issues and it sure isn’t farm groups or farmers.

See who sits on the seed advisory boards yea no real farmers.

So why wouldn’t crop insurance offer another program and another choice? Revenue insurance ?

They have infrastructure, been a n business a long time, Federal cost sharing etc

Oh ya, I forgot ...... they used to offer hail Insurance but don’t anymore.
Why don’t they bring it back?

Most businesses try to grow, make better for customer options, yes Bucket profit, so maybe better disclosure with crop insurance as well?

I have no problem with profit as long as the primary producer isn't left out....

I do think SCIC could evolve , grab more customers with better programs. Maybe they haven't looked at the risk reward close enough....but thats on management of SCIC ...

All I know is the provincial ag minister is promoting private insurance but everyone should be calling and asking to whose benefit ...and what will it cost...
