Well, Christmas is almost here and its time for Family friends and good cheer. May 2020 bring you health happiness and a great crop.
So in the News Trump gets impeached. No really what happened is the public in the USA is so pissed at the Democrats that this 3-year witch hunt just gave trump 2020.
Now in Canada Trudeau's favourite company next to a long list of Quebec companies gets fined $280 million. Wow, aren't we a proud nation that this is one of our great taxpayer-backed companies.
In other federal news, the Ag minister and her provincial ministers had a big meeting and they discussed farming with Business, seed companies, insurance companies grain companies. Ah, it seems no farmer group had a voice at the table. All this useless group could come up with was a pilot project in Manitoba and a big **** you to western Canola farmers and more study study study. Oh on the carbon tax maybe instead of wondering how it is affecting farmers just get farmers to send in the dryer bills with a 20% carbon tax attached to each bill.
Now the other thing was the Go get private insurance. HAHAHA can anyone guess how many people actually use these insurance companies in western Canada the low number would make your head shake? But follow the money on who is advising Prov and Fed Ministers and who is going to sit on these insurance boards after they are done politics. It's all about following the money. Insanity at its best. BOBOO is standing with us farmers is total bullshit.
Oh, Saskatchewan doesn't get off easy either. Why didn't our minister stand and give it to them that we were hurt to the tune of $2.50 a bushel thanks to Trudeau and company and something like the dairy should be done? No, they go to the meeting and say farmers don't want a subsidy. What farmer doesn't? Maybe a die-hard liberal or someone that doesn't know the history and the 90s are back with Ottawa saying lots and doing nothing.
Moe wants money for 2020 I say keep shitting on rural and you might get one heck of a surprise. No check for you MR Moe this year. I'm not impressed with the AG situation.
Markets are in a holding pattern as the USA and China have some sort of stage one deal but the devil is in the details, no one knows whats going on. I still think the two will work it out as both need each other. China needs a place for there shit and the USA needs to make farmers happy. In Canada, skippy can't spell farmer so were screwed.
I love the latest carbon tax bill one farmer posted and it should go viral. 7500 or more is Carbon tax then add the GST and its a win-win.
Oh, skippy is going to punish some provinces but he still feels like he understands why he was shut out of the west. Skippy is cutting back on the rebate to people in Sask because we're such a bad province. Western Hate will grow skippy not get better.
So I'm sitting in an airport in Winnipeg waiting for my flight south. Ah, Winnipeg how could you have voted in a Liberal. Ah right you get what 2 billion out of the equalization fund and Oquebec gets 13 yet the rest of the provinces get piss all. Ah, its follow the money time again.
The grain is moving and trains are loading and elevators some experts say are making a clear dollar plus a bushel profit above elevation and handling so its a win-win year for grain companies and who is advising gov follow the money.
Maybe we need to get our money back on check offs because our groups that represent farmers have been slipping for a way to many years and let these other focus groups take control of our industry.
Now by the news the other day I would say a lot of people are phoning and complaining to there farm groups as all finally are waking up and realizing being nice with the Federal Gov and some Prov. gov has done nothing to help AGriculture but actually hurt it more each year. Waiting for the train when they said your plane is leaving is Canadian Ag groups.
Can these groups pick up the pace and get back in control of the situation, I think it will be a very hard uphill battle. To much damage has been done because of being nice. Nice guys finish last is so true.
Well its time to board so again
Merry Christmas
and a
Very Happy new year.
