The democrats have to realize by now they gave the election to trump and even if he gets thrown out the next democrat in the white house will be investigated...

I don't like hearing about US politics everyday but at least they have system that can do it....

Trudeau can just get away with it....

If I want more I better get off my ass and do more.

Not everyone started at the same point at the starting line...
        -some were on it
        -some ahead of it
        -some behind it.
Run your own race and forget about your competitors, comparison can be a dangerous thing.
Set your own personal goals, and run at your own pace, walk if you want or stop and rest, or quit....

To each their own, I won't judge anyone for wanting to move a mountain so don't judge me for just wanting to sit on it....

Watching CNN this morning and Democrats think all illegal boarder crashes should be given free education and health. Ah any of them actually look at poor in there own districts.

Dow s&p and NAS are all up. 76% of Americans believe the USA is doing great. So 25% of the population believes the Democrats. I will call it now trump 2020.

Canada on the other hand looks like a third world crap zone.

Skippy is taking a well deserved family day why not call it like it is a Holliday paid for by you and me to Costa Rica.

          Wow he is so good.

'It's killing us': midwestern workers savaged by Trump's trade wars

Layoffs are common, shifts have been cut – and workers in America’s manufacturing and farming heartlands are losing hope

"Layoffs in manufacturing have become common throughout the midwest even as the overall job market has remained strong. Trump campaigned on promises to bring back jobs, particularly to communities in the midwest that have been devastated from the decline of industry. But manufacturing has continued to suffer. Employment in US manufacturing peaked in 1979 with 19.4m jobs, and have steadily declined since to around 12.8m in 2019, though production output has nearly doubled during that same timeframe as automation and outsourcing have increased efficiency at the expense of US jobs.

Most states throughout the US have experienced steady job growth since the economic recession in 2008 and 2009, but growth in the midwest has lagged behind the rest of the country since December 2016, as sectors of manufacturing and agriculture the region relies on have taken hits due to Trump’s trade war.

“As a farmer, it’s killing us. By the time something changes, there will be no small farms,” said Jesse Oberbroeckling, who has worked at the John Deere plant in Dubuque, Iowa for nine years, and runs a small family farm. “I raise different crops and cattle, and prices are terrible. I sure as hell can’t afford to buy any John Deere equipment.”

Well US farmers are totally welcome to vote Biden if they are unhappy. Guy sounds just like the retard we have here running Canada.

When ever some politician tells you there will be a great transition to new economy, think about our own Maritimes.

https://www.nationalreview.com/news/biden-says-yes-to-sacrificing-oil-and-gas-jobs-for-clean-energy/ Biden Says ‘Yes’ to Sacrificing Oil and Gas Jobs for Clean Energy

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden answered in the affirmative on Thursday when asked whether he would be willing to sacrifice economic growth and blue-collar jobs in the oil and gas industries in favor of clean energy.
“The answer is yes,” the former vice president reponded to Politico’s Tim Alberta, who moderated Thursday night’s sixth Democratic presidential primary debate in Los Angeles.
Alberta noted that the U.S. has seen several “stints of explosive economic growth due to a boom in oil and natural gas production” and asked Biden whether transitioning to a green economy was worth losing some economic growth as well as displacing “maybe hundreds of thousands of blue-collar workers.”
“The opportunity for those workers to transition to high-paying jobs … is real,” Biden responded. “There are so many things we can do, and we have to make sure we explain it to those people who are displaced that their skills are going to be needed for the new opportunities.”

"driverless trucks"..... wishful thinking! Liability would be insane. You can't even power-up the farm equipement auto-steer without clicking the box accepting all liability and removing any liability from the developer. Can't see driverless trucks being a thing until they can be driven "hands-off" with a person in the driver's seat.

The ability of some "new drivers" is probably more of a risk than hand's off or driverless..... but let's not go there.

Are they saying there won't be boom and busts in those new green high paying jobs?

What happens when they have enough windmills and solar panels? Or do they start to tear them out and replace them ...to keep the religion anchored on nonsense....

Look the "green " economy is subsidized and will be for years....I am not against it if it makes sense but the environmental hazards with solar panels to build or scrap them is just as high or higher than everyones bitching about oil and gas...

To build a hydro dam is an environmental problem as well but sometimes you have to look at the greater good ...

A balanced approach would certainly be welcome as opposed to the forced approach of paying for it all...

After Greta decided our future I don't mind sending the next generation the bill....

Canada’s oil sands majors continue on their autonomous haulage journey

The big oil sands mining players in Alberta are quietly ramping up their autonomous truck programmes, to the point where in a few years time they will not be far behind Australia’s Pilbara in terms of numbers of autonomous trucks running and will certainly lead the world in terms of the largest ultraclass autonomous trucks market.

Yep and all farms will be robot also. What’s your point you still need a human to watch for a computer **** up.

Americans are working and Canadians are losing jobs.

So I’ll go with the USA over Canada any day.

                            Merry Christmas

Autonomous and remote piloted are not the same thing. These trucks will still have drivers, they will just not be in the cab.

Two teenagers trained on Fornite paid minumum wage should be able to handle the fleet of driverless trucks. The savings will go to shareholders.
