This year our Flax/Chickpea intercrop netted the best return.
First year experimenting. Flax received N from chickpeas so only applied phos for chickpeas.Last edited by mustardman; Dec 21, 2019, 08:46.

Did you do it along a main road to keep the neighbours guessing if you lost your marbles (like us) or hidden in the back somewhere?

This year was all barley and a good chunk of it will go through the cows as well. Rolling some that had a bunch of volunteer wheat in it to be fed. Cows still go crazy for it and no discounts either.
I freely admit I know very little and plans were made to be broken/changed. Made thousands silage bales out of necessity (thanks Ma Nature) when I didn’t need any feed for ourselves.
Coles notes version........... plans changed somewhat 😉
