      Or how about:
      https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/canada-back-in-world-s-top-10-economies-with-room-to-grow-report-1.4749411 https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/canada-back-in-world-s-top-10-economies-with-room-to-grow-report-1.4749411

In spite of all the bitching on here, Canada, a large nation with a small population is the 10th largest (and growing) economy in the world. If that is not a good news story for 2020 I don't know what would be

How many of those starving people you mention in that other thread could be fed by those 1900 acres of agricultural land taken out of production forever? Not against solar but wow what a waste of land. For the environmentalists out there cheering, think of the glyphosate or soil sterilants to control the vegetation in and around the panels. Only place for them is on top of existing structures!

Fair question if the problem is starvation was a production shortfall. However, the world currently produces enough calories to feed everyone. The problem is not production but rather waste, accessibility, and lack of means to purchase food. We are talking of building on dryland grazing land, not high productive ag lands. Land which likely would not grow grains that feed the poor, but are probably only suitable for feeding livestock, the products of which the poor likely could not afford anyway. City expansions devour much more land, and typically the top agricultural land, than this. Or consider that millions of acres of farm land that are planted for corn that is used for ethanol production instead of food. It is not a black and white issue where if you take x land out of production y number more will starve.

THAT would be NEWS in Canada! At very least SLAM him for the plane travel!

Yeah if only it were true. You gobbled up the year end MSM pablum like a little baby. So cute

David Rosenberg just tweeted that Canadas real GDP growth was zero over the past 18 months with a whack of debt thrown in for good measure.

Wait until some job numbers start rolling in. And stop listening to CBC any ctv.

Jazz, CTV (along with other media) just reported the story. The numbers come from Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr), a non governmental economic advisory firm based in UK with a 25 year track record.

Now I know you consider any news that that does not fit in the propagandist world you live in to be fake thus you eat up "news" like a tweet from David Rosenberg. But if he is so accurate and right, I am dying to hear your take on his November column when he wrote about a pending US recession and I quote: "But make no mistake, the (US) economy’s breadth is very poor and the median sector has stopped expanding. Thirty per cent of GDP is actually in a technical recession of its own – back-to-back quarters of negative growth. Pretty well everything that resides outside of the consumer and government sectors combined." https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/commentary/article-the-us-are-closer-to-a-recession-than-they-think-if-the-numbers-are/ https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/commentary/article-the-us-are-closer-to-a-recession-than-they-think-if-the-numbers-are/

Try opening your mind Jazz and looking at all analysis and not just what suits you bias.

Listen to the Dec 31st episode of the Roy Green podcast. They talk about Canada's total debt , and it is in to the multiple TRILLION $ range !

You have to look at what we are making last , and what we are spending first in my opinion.
