Still have yet to find out if Iran shot down a plane and killed 176 innocent civilians. Reports of fireball hitting the plane, tramistter stopping, plane falling to the ground. Planes can fly with a single engine. Wont turn over the black box.

Smells all too fishy to not be a nefarious act that downed the plane but let’s not forget it was a 737 and their record as of late hasn’t been great. Iran looks suspicious as hell for not turning black box over to Boeing but you know there’s a few hard feelings there. Maybe Iran is as dumb****led as anyone else. Who knows maybe a terrorist planted bomb or a “rogue” faction missile. If eyewitnesses reports of fuselage engulfed are true all roads lead to the same conclusion.

The reports coming in is Iran ordered its military to attack this US base, they had precision missles they proceeded to launch which missed the base entirely and landed on a deserted beach. Those soldiers got so spooked about a retaliation that they abandoned the operation and ran off mid operation.

Tehran had itself so worked up after the funeral and statements from its leader proceeded to turn its missile defenses on to max and took out a civilian jet taking off from its own airport filled with its own people. These are mostly dual passport Iranians Canadians.

Its also a testament to how professional and restrained the US really is. Can you imagine of the US flew some stealth bombers or F22 raptors over that city? They would have gone totally batshit.

And somehow not wanting these guys to have nukes is a bad thing? Maybe being regional shit disturbers isn't a good career choice. Maybe making a deal with Trump is the best way forward. I am sure some are thinking about that now.

I agree the passenger jet was likely shot down. But at this time we do not know it was the Iranian military. There is no doubt it could have been an Iranian air defense system believing the jet to be an American response to the missiles Iran had sent into Iraq. Or it could have been a rogue Iranian faction hoping to escalate the conflict. The jet could have been brought down by Iraq air defense believing it to be part of a second wave of attack. The holes in the debris of the jet are eerily familiar to the damage to the Malaysian passenger jet MH17 brought down by pro Russian separatists over Ukraine. Look at a map and see the relatively close proximity of Russia and Syria to the crash site. Are there pro Russian/Syrian groups that would like to see an escalation? And what about ISIS? Reports are the US ended actions against ISIS to concentrate on Iran. So could this have been an ISIS attack? And I am old enough to remember when the USS Vincennes shot down an Iranian passenger jet in Iranian airspace in 1988 killing all 290 aboard; believing the jet was an Iranian F-14 Tomcat and was a threat to the US navy missile cruiser. So is it possible that this was a US downing of the jet thinking it was followup attack on US installations in Iraq? WE DO NOT KNOW WHO DOWNED THE JET AT THIS TIME!

Iran was and is still a state sponsor of terrorism. We closed our embassy there 8 yrs ago so I assume they were still bad guys. Giving the money whether they think its theirs or not is a foolish strategy. It just got passed down to Hezbollah and the whole thing kept going while the Iranian govt pleaded for mercy. US knew this 6 months after Obama flew the crates of cash over to them.

True, but the plane was ordered holding pattern for 90 minutes it looks like while the missile strike on the US base was completed. Somebody obviously let the tower know about it and then they were cleared to take off. Some faction maybe thought the US would start buzzing the area and wanted to make sure a civilian casualty was hit. Guess they were surprised when the US never even got out of their cots. Funny thing that blowback.

I am sure in the coming days you will hear a theory of a rogue US cruise missile or something.
