Mortality is only part of the picture as the effectiveness of measures taken to control disease.

Morbidity (disease and illness) is the other. When juxtaposed with age groups a lot can be studied and learned

Three deaths so far, 30-40 have recovered out of the total.
Hopefully the new cases decrease now that people are isolated.

Seed, fertilizer, delivering grain all no human contact needed, just that food shopping has a tiny bit of risk. And missing the grandson, thankfully pics and video in this day and age. Must have been HELL in 1918. Hoping aged parents can wait this out, care homes seem to empty after it gets there.

Sask numbers are encouraging so far this week.

                Going against the trend.

Quebec is getting more than their share.

Makes Canada numbers look worse than they are.

We are top 20 now as a country but looking good as a region.

The US numbers look dreadful. over 1k deaths today, 27,000 cases. And its going to get much much worse.

Daughter-in-law stopped in yesterday to pick up some goods that we had here for them. My 1 1/2 year-old granddaughter was in the car seat. Big smiles for grandma and grandpa.

I stood outside her door, window down and talked with her. She pulled at her straps and wanted out.

Best not, we decided, for right now. Her face turned pretty cloudy, didn't understand.

Don't know if it was harder on her or me.

But a "distance visit" was better than none.

If the province is basically shut down for April and school possibly for the year, we should close both airports to reduce the risk of the virus being imported from hot spots.
Manitoba seems to be doing slightly better than SK so that is encouraging too.

Airplanes imported most of our cases from China due to political correctness. (Trudeau previously said it was racist and xenophobic to stop flights from China or to stop illegal border crossers)
