Let's cut to the chase and post the real figures. If you're complaining about the bill someone either read it to you or you read it on-line - either way it's not difficult to get a copy - you have all the toys.
If you're going to complain about the carbon tax let's use the real figures not made up ones.

From the govnt of Canada website. Lol

        “Family of three
Jane and Molly, who have an eight-year-old child, live in Regina. They decide that Jane will be the parent claiming the Climate Action Incentive payment for their family when she files her 2018 tax return in early 2019. She will claim $305 for herself, $152 for Molly and $76 for their child, for a total amount of $533. She will see this full amount when her tax return is assessed.”

Just an aside. You can’t make this up. Our brave new woke world that is Canada.

Sounds like you guys in Saskatchewan are getting a bargain compared to what we got to pay for CO2 tax under the NDP. I just checked a bill from spring, and the CO2 tax was 50% of the cost of the gas. The January bill hasn't been uploaded yet so I'm not sure what we get to pay now. I quit drying grain at midnight on Dec 31.

And since Grassfarmer will demand evidence, here is the bill. No drying going on then.

I don't know what you are so concerned about. According to baby names popularity sites, both Jane and Molly can be boys names, although that does open up an entirely new can of worms...

            Is Molly a boy name?
The baby boy name Molly was given to 17 baby boys in 2004, ranking #2344 on the national boy baby name top chart.

Thank you fjlip. You certainly have some considerable drying costs and the carbon tax is a significant sum. Roughly speaking on your larger bill it appears to account for 17% of the total, on the smaller one around 15%.
SF3's implied that the carbon tax accounted for @33% of his bill which seemed a gross exaggeration.

Yup, JD salesman has been in our yard twice since harvest. Hasn't been here for a decade prior to that. BTO's must be running out of money or credit, if salesmen are slumming it with us STO's.

I screamed last summer on this forum before any drying was done and my first bill came from Saskenergy and saw the benefits and results of a dumb piece of **** Prime Minister and his Cabinet Blonde Bimbo Climate Barbie and the save the world tax...CARBON TAX ...what a joke and complete money confiscation. And you voted the asshole back in. The carbon tax is 40 % of the bill!!!

Geez Grass don’t you have your own gas bill....or is your farm still operating on coal for heat and coal oil for the lamps? Yah that power line and gas line was kinda of a fad thing...passed it by when the coal works so good eh? Any carbon tax on the coal? “SHOW ME YOUR BILL !!”

You left wing so called moral do gooders alway happy to confiscate the money of energetic hard working wealth creators. Communism and socialism has failed all over the world....now those failed dictators and followers who lost control all over the world and hate people having individual freedom and economic prosperity have cooked up the climate debacle...so they can scare the hell out of the kids and this kids parents into believing the world is burning up and take their money to correct fix it.

Climate alarmists are just the 2020 version of a “stick up”.......”GIVE ME YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE”...what a joke.

                              Pure CONFISCATION....2020 Version of Communism!

A couple of things to keep in mind. Those bills are from 2019 and a carbon tax rate of $20 a tonne. January of 2022 that carbon tax rate will be $50 a tonne. That makes the carbon tax on the larger bill $17965.18 without GST. That is a hefty price tag. The theory is that a tax like the C02 tax imposed by the federal Liberal's will change our behaviour. So here is my question Grassfarmer will a grain farmer in the fall of 2022 if faced with the challenge of grain that is to wet to store leave it in the field or will he put it through his grain dryer and pay the carbon tax? How will the carbon tax change his behaviour? I believe he will dry his grain and pay the tax which means this C02 tax is nothing more than a cash grab!
