I was going to say that this is not the way to attack the green energy scam, because there are similar long term environmental consequences for every energy source, or resource extraction humans do. When the fossil fuel industry is eventually eclipsed, or exhausted, all the pipelines and well casings will remain in the ground(the metal ones will eventually corrode, the plastic or composite may last as long as the blades though, all the wastes pumped into deep wells will remain. Nuclear waste will remain for even longer. The scars from mining etc etc.

But as caseih so correctly points out, the difference is, that unlike wind or solar, in exchange for the environmental legacy of fossil fuels, or nuclear, they powered and enabled civilization on a global scale for centuries already, and likely for centuries to come.

I would be willing to accept that windmills and solar panels have unintended and negative environmental consequences, IF, they had actually served some purpose during their intended lifespan, and done it at a cost that was an improvement over what it replaced. They have failed on both counts, making their environmental transgressions unacceptable.

Definitely, the attitude of the Chuck's of the world, that their sh** doesn't smell, is definitely coming back to haunt them. And the labels of clean and green, or even renewable certainly aren't justified.

But there is so much other low hanging fruit that can be used to discredit this folly, and unlike the ecological footprint, it can't be turned around and use against the reliable energy sources they try so hard to denigrate.

Asked retailer in saskatoon what the fu ck i do with old barrels , he said they work good to burn chemical jugs in

Yes basically it NEVER pays to recycle anything at all! What a shame. Being GREEN cost more every time so business will not ruin their bottom line. There are many horror stories of feel good recycle programs ending up in landfills. Quebec plastic recycle recently in the news, went broke.

Canada should copy Sweden and BURN it all to generate heat/energy. End of problem...
