Rumor that China may invoke "Force Majeure" in regards to U.S. trade deal. This trade deal supposed to help U.S. farmers.

If China invokes force majeure on the US trade deal, they will still need to source the products elsewhere, and in the meanwhile, the CAD continues to slide vs the USD, it may make our ag exports more competitive into China, and buy back some market share for Canadian products.

Pigs and people still need to eat, so far there doesn't seem to be any realistic scenario whereby the death rate is significant enough to make any dent in demand.

Taking a longer term view.

How many reluctant city dwellers see this event as the straw that broke the camels back, being crammed into that toxic mass of humanity in the midst of (yet another?) deadly pandemic, quarantined under quasi military lockdown, with empty store shelves and no way to grow their own? And see the obvious solution being to get out of the city as far as possible, especially in the era of instant communication from anywhere, when many jobs can be performed from anywhere.

How many of those folks want to own a piece of the countryside, and does that have any effect on land prices in the middle of nowhere?

The Swiss has mass produced the pill and the Chinese have been in contact with the lab in Montreal. The Chinese are starting today giving patience with the Covid 19 to see if it works.

AF have you talked to a lot of city people? They actually love being crammed in to those places and being taxed and controlled. There is a large segment of the population that is basically terrified all the time and welcome any sort of state oversight. That's how we get people like Trudeau in power.
