    rain: you are lucky. I don't know anything for a fact anymore. But stat's Canada monitors all grain commercial and on farm and Ag Canada posts all estimates. So I agree with total supply in the country being a negative to price.

      Rain and Boone;

      We have known for many years, that Feed Barley has been disadvantaged by pooling. Commissioner Beswick stated it in the spring of 1996, after he was stabbed in the back over the creation of a cash CWB feed barley market by Commissioner Hehn.

      The Western Grain Marketing Panel clearly found that a cash feed barley price was critical to arbitaging world feed grain prices... Sept 2003 is a perfect example when $3/bu values were possible if arbitage had been allowed in the Alberta feed barley market. A cash price is critical to transparent movement and stocks management of feed grains...

      CWB feed wheat is even worse with Thunderbay offerings @$225/t and pool PRO's @$139/t. This is a spread of $100/t.

      What is the CWB doing marketing these grains... as has been asked a million times in the last 20 years?

        I have no idea what they are really doing but if I hear Ritter telling me on the radio one more time(advertisements paid for with our money) I am liable to puke right on the spot, hope it is in a provincial government office. Eknough is enough I don't think we should have to pay for the directors relelection campaigns. If they were doing half as good a job as they say we would all know it we wouldn't have to be told.

          carebear300: you would think a religion shouldn't have to advertise?
