If this is true, then it amounts to 0.15% of the total recovered cases in China. Considering the scale of the testing, and the population, that could well be within the margin of error on either the first, or subsequent diagnosis, or falsely labelling them as recovered too early. I have no idea if that is the case, but it puts it into perspective, 100 people is insignificant compared to the supposedly 64000 recovered cases in China.

It's an outright lie, to say the Trump administration was late to the game or that he said the Wuhan virus was fake news. What Trump said, was that the media reporting that his administration wasn't doing anything was fake news, and Trump is right on that for sure.

Trump has stopped flights from China for non-American citizens Jan 31st, flights from Shanghai are still entering this great country, Canada,,, TODAY ! FFS !

Yesterday the CBSA tweeted they've had enhanced screening since Feb,,, NOT TRUE,,, AND I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT. THEY'RE LIEING, STRAIGHT UP !

The Canadian government hasn't done a phucking thing till Wednesday of last week, and made more announcements on Friday last week. They plan to hand out Billions next week,,, and to who,,, we have no idea.

Yes and the U.S. had tests for everyone. Millions perfect tests just like his phone call. Americans coming home from overseas carry the virus just as well as foreigners.

Agstar77 - did you read the post above?

Please tell me what preventative actions did Canada’s leader take that the USA should have taken?

Yes - Americans can carry the virus but they are Americans citizens and the USA is their country so they are entitled to return home. Should Those who return take measures to protect fellow citizens - yes...

I want Canadians to be able to return home... I do understand they can carry the virus but they are citizens of this country and are entitled to return home. Should they take measures to protect fellow citizens as well - yes...

I think non-citizens should not be entitled to enter the country if there is a concern that they may potentially cause a problem here...

Testing - I am for testing but we know there is a virus and a problem so taking action first based on information at hand allows you to act quickly, testing can happen as time and capacity allows too further qualify the issue and focus resources.

It looks like 4 more flights arriving in Vancouver tomorrow morning from China.
The afternoon will have more flights arriving in Vancouver and Victoria as well.

What will our woke drama teacher have up his sleeve as his next move in this game of 4-D chess?

How wise flights from China is
              debatable.
They seem to have it somewhat
              Under control.
However flights or travelers from the US
Where they do not have a clue
              Where they are at.
Since as of a couple of days ago
              Only 12,000 tests completed in
The US , compared to 14000 in
Canada , with 1/10 th the population.

Mexico may have it right that the
Border to close is the American one.

Hey I hope SF3 is right and it is all an overreaction.
              Just a flu.
But I do not think ,whoops is gonna cut it ,
With the family's of the deceased , if the US
              And Canada turn into Italy

Stopping flights from China, Italy and other hotspots is debatable?

Liberal Logic: We shut down hockey in rural Saskatchewan but planes full of Chinese nationals are allowed to enter Vancouver every couple hours without screening.

Bats are ok. But I get edgey eating bat balls.

But with massive populations and a lot of unsanitary conditions, which we are all told is the prime cause of transmission, that should be a huge hot spot long before Italy.
As Mallee has pointed out , outside temperature seems not to be a factor in Australia.
But then again most likely very low travel and trade between certain countries has a big influence on infectious spread .
That is my concern in Canada , the first cases in BC were directly from travel from China yet flights still ongoing ... seems bizarre.
                      Worth noting, isn’t it.
