If they are closing the border to other nationals I am not sure why they are allowing American citizens to enter Canada unless they have really important reasons to be here for business, transportation, or family reasons.

Keep business and commerce going as much as possible. But no tourists or others who potentially will spread the virus. Don't count on all people to make the right choice. Some people think rules are for other people.

I doubt you would have to try and stop very many American's from entering Canada. I really don't think any would even look this way with how cold it is. Not to mention the high cost of everything and crazy high taxes.

Best to keep the American tourists welcome in this country. Might be the only source of revenue in this country that isn't completely ****ed come summer. Still waiting for mass shutdown of Fort Mac. So few people going to businesses on the main streets locally that lots of stores are thinking of shutting down for a time being. Can guarantee all those affected employees/employers are going to be looking for their cut of Dumbo's big handouts to come.

With an exchage rate of $1.40 and only increasing you can bet there will be Americans wanting to shop for what ever they can get in Canada when ever they can.
