To be clear I do not advocate any type of confrontation where there is evidence of any danger. As Herc says above allow them to take your stuff. It is the safest thing you can do. Any security system should have the primary objective and be designed in such a way that it protects you and your loved ones.

Also, secure and lock your possessions up as best you can. Buy insurance and document your contents and possessions for a claim. That's about all you can do out in the sticks. Stay safe

I think the firecrackers or scare cannon would be far more effective lol . Along with some flashing lights and load sirens. Might keep them delusional until the cops can get there maybe.
That shop was locked up tight , they simply pried open a side window . If they want in they are getting in is what the police said . They are even simply pulling doors off with chains in some cases.
Agree “stuff” ain’t worth be shot ..... but if it’s my house ... those thieves carrying illegal weapons changes perspective .
As you say, document as much as you can is about all you can do for shops.
BTW , neighbour was offered his boots back , but they were chewed all up by the police dog when they caught the one guy lol. He said no thanks .
Shop stuff , is concerning ..... Protecting family is a whole different ball game . DYODD

Put the cannon on an outside source of power. When they are all inside, turn on the cannon and lock all the doors—— from the outside. Go to Regina and leave them there for a day or so with no way out of the shop. Could turn off the rest of the power to the shop and have all windows barred. We could make it very “inviting” in the dark cold.
