The latest mushroom cloud arising from what is now a state of emergency is the Pacific Dental Conference 2020 held in Vancouver March 5-7.
Bring in 15,000 people from all over the place to one city then they all go back home again. What could possibly go wrong?

I stand a 1000 percent behind the comment
That there should be separate designated areas
For handling these cases than any hospital anywhere
We should be looking at what’s happenned elsewhere
Doctors get infected and other patients who
Are in the hospital which means they are already
        Weak in many cases.

As far as just 8 well China started with just
One!!!! So did Italy. Alberta and B.C. must
        Be over exaggerating declaring emergencies
Then???? No I think not they don’t know where
Many of the dead got sick meaning they got
Sick from someone local possibly who knows.

People are not self quarantining from
        Vacations at all.

You want things both ways if your saying
This is all a hoax then I guess the provincial gov
Are all idiots for closing the economy down?
Or are they not? Which one is it?
I never said it was a hoax and I never said it was over. But I did say I think the provinces have responded as soon as evidence showed that they should. Pretty early on they asked people to not come to the hospital or clinic unless they met certain criteria. Telling people to self isolate, although I am not sure how serious some took it. The measures taken in a city are way different than what needs to be taken in rural canada anywhere.

The feds were off to a slow start. It was their responsibility to restrict airspace and monitor in airports, borders, etc. I do think some people are now taking it serious about self isolating.

But to say you knew how serious it was all along is just BS. You never even posted a comment about it until yesterday or today.

Hell I was even talking to Ritchie Brothers and they still intend to hold auction the same as usual, because everyone is outside. I told them that I think they better be planning for to move it to 100% online.

Part of Korea's fight is using cell phone data to track where infected people have been and testing as many contacts as they can.

They seem to be having more success than most.

So far travel is still the common factor here.

Yes. Pretty much put every dentist out of business for two weeks minimum. Plus a few attendees are showing up positive

I was talking to a young guy who is a commercial banker in Saskatoon. The bank has gone to reduced staff at branches with an A team and a B team. In case someone tests positive the other team can take over.

His wife is a nurse. There is a strain on the system because so many nurses have been travelling recently and have to self isolate for 14 days.

His wife is being asked to work 16 hr shifts because of staff shortages. Hopefully there are fresh recruits in less than 14 days to ease the burden.

This thing is really overblown by our media they are all holding the same graph up of what could happen, the same as they do with climate change it is totally fearmongering.People have to wake up.some people have corana virus in Alberta 119 to be exact is that the reason to shut the whole economy down!! give me a break. The only thing the media is doing is scaring the hell out of people. Sure some people are going to die specially people with other issues just let them quarantine themselves. Governments like people scared so they can do otherthings and blame covid 19 on the poor shape of the economy. PEOPLE WAKE UP.

I agree Furrow and Zeefarmer. Had the same thing back in Nov and Dec. Sore muscles and a shit as cold with phlegm for 5-6 weeks. Was not like the regular flu where it lasts a week then done. My son has had the damn thing most of the winter. Can’t say it’s the Corona but definitely a lot different than the flus of the past.
