Fair enough, but is it if you happen to kill that person when you are beating on them?

Think back hard 6 months ago and ponder what you probably thought could never happen.
Now redo that thought experiment today.
Usually essential services have a tendency to be taken over by govts in the name of something other cause.
read the war measures act. just because people need to eat doesnt mean anything to most govts including our own.

My comparison of the two was maybe to extreme, but what hasn't changed is the human thought process. People will justify their violent actions and the results of those actions by convincing themselves that it was what needed to be done and it wasn't their fault that they did it because the other person was at fault. The exception to that would be if someone was in your home threatening your family.

It was that way in the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s and people seemed to make it work. I wasn’t around then, but my father told me stories of lots of squabbles being settled behind the barn. And people had respect for each other. Not the screw everybody else mentality there is today. Maybe I was just born a generation too late is my problem.

You see TSIPP you have already justified beating somebody who doesn't self isolate because they will kill someone, not your fault, you had to beat them, they should have stayed home. The government is already limiting civil liberties to try and combat the spread of Covid-19, what's next everybody who could possibly be sick is rounded up and sent to quarantine camps. How did that work out for the Japanese that we rounded up during WWii. In 50 years will we be apologizing for this?

Nobody is saying that we have to round up everybody with covid. Stop with the genocide already. All I am saying is that if you know you are sick and go out in public, you should be fair game to get some sense knocked into you. Do you think people would think twice about doing such a thing if there was such a consequence?
Do you think people would steal if the police gave the house/land owner 15 minutes with them?
