Count on Air Canada, Bombardier and SNC-Lavalin to get decent bailouts.

If anything is left after that dairy might get a Corona payment.

All of these programs seem to only associate with FCC, so I am wondering how many farmers does that actually help? Or are we all expected to transfer our loans to FCC if we want to participate?

Personally, my local credit union has had much better terms, interest rates, and requires far less hoops and loops than the government type lenders did.
          what is the FCC?

Ignore the loans guys, modify your operation. They are coming for more from you to pay for the debt thats going to be run up and I imagine a UBI program becomes part of the plan too. Cut costs, shelter income and dont feed the biggest parasite of all.

As furrow said, might be a good year to clean up some fields.

                    Where does the $5B go?
It sounds to me that FCC will distribute the majority of this to its customers in the form of increased loans.
This will only increase debt load to FCC customers the way I understand, which may keep some of the wheels greased for a bit but only if your a FCC customer.
To be politically correct this is a loan and shouldn’t be referred to anything but a loan by the media, nothing else but more debt for farmers, and only if you’re a customer of FCC.
What about all the farms who deal with other lending institutions? I wish I knew the percentage of farms that are not FCC customers and won’t have access to another loan.
I hope our representatives are helping to get this point across.
There is a lot of good farmers that are in a bad position after a difficult year and may not get a crop planted this year.
These are different times for everyone and a different action would seem fitting.
What is the average age of farmers?
Wouldn’t a significant percentage of farms be at higher risk because we are getting old?
                    Take care out there!
