Reports of a planeload of masks , in China ,going to France . Diverted on the runway by U.S. buyers offering triple the price for the masks. Who is worse the U.S. or the Chinese for basically being bribed. Locals told French officials said it was the American government. If this is true it should do wonders for the next meeting of Macron and Trump. How bad is the REAL situation in the U.S. if they are this desperate.?

Do Liberals consider it terrible if leadership treats its citizens as priority #1?
You ignore the fact that last Friday (march 27) the Bank of China donated a plane load of masks and gloves and supplies to Canada to help us with Covid-19 now that the situation has improved in China but is worse here.
By helping slow the virus in China, we probably saved some Canadian lives and now that the shoe is on the other foot China is helping other countries.

I am not a Liberal, but I consider providing the aid we did to being a good neighbor. It would be like if your neighbor had a stubble fire in the fall and you have a tank full of water so you go help put it out instead of leaving it sit in your yard in case you have a fire.Last edited by dmlfarmer; Apr 2, 2020, 13:18.

Been reading Conrad Black’s history of Franklin Roosevelt with stories about Woodrow Wilson and Herbert Hoover.
Surprised to see about America First policy and nationalism under Hoover in twenties and extending into thirties when Roosevelt reversed it.
Some similarities with current situation and prospects of another worldwide depression.
Had not expected Conrad to be so complementary toward Roosevelt.
