        The problem with Prickville is that one can't tell if someone is being sarcastic, humorous or serious.

          The economy was a fictional story that was unsustainable. Everybody borrowed to the max, no one facing reality, people spend 3x what they make....

          This may very well be the best thing to happen to the economy - reality. Not the human life lost - but the economy needed a serious kick in the a$$.

            I agree, this would be a prime time and a prime excuse to let the inevitable reset happen, and start fresh. Except so far, that does not appear to be the intention.

            So far, the plan seems to be to reward those who were least prepared, and least responsible, at add more debt at all levels, to make borrowing costs even cheaper, and to punish savers even more, to remove all motivation to be responsible and prepare for the next downturn.

            If there is any lesson to be learned here, it is that being financially prudent and responsible will be punished, and will result in you having to pay for the irresponsibility of everyone else who now knows for certain that the government will bail them out no matter how badly they mess up. Just shifted a whole bunch more people permanently from the makers, to the takers column, and they will vote accordingly.

              Good points it definitely does and also all the kooky priorities pushed by Hollywood need a reset.

              I predict a large % of stimulus/unemployment/welfare cheque’s will end up going to recreational activities and items. I’m sure every lake and park still fills up with huge campers, boats and jet skis this summer and all the maxed out seniors still flock to Arizona next winter.

                This is about allowing our medical folks a decent chance to help people.

                If there are only enough ICU beds for 20 percent of the sick people... many many more people than just those with Covid-19 die.

                All the best and I hope you and yours have a safe spring that does not require any medical attention! Be Safe!!

                Alberta Covid-19 stats... looks like we are near the peak of Covid-19. Alberta Health have good info on our progress!

                April 2 Alberta update on Corvid-19-[ one day increase since April1] from Alberta Health:
                1. April 2 Alberta 57096 tested [3952 more since April 1(53144)];
                2. 986 positives [115 more since April 1( 871)];
                3.13 dead [2 more since April 1 (11)]
                4. 67 Hospitalizations
                5. 21 Admissions to ICU
                6. 61% cases in Calgary
                7. 49% Male

                https://covid19stats.alberta.ca/ give the statistics which are starting to peak for Alberta.

                Have a look at the Geospatial and age data:

                87% of people being infected come from Calgary and Edmonton. The vast majority are 20-54 years old... because Alberta has a younger average age of our population.

                If someone would be kind enough to 'hot link' these two sites that would be appreciated. Thanks.

                  Are you posting B.S like this looking for friends on Agriville or joining a certain club, because you sure the hell don't speak for my children and their spouse. All have secondary schooling are all currently working while covid-19.

                  Not to mention all nieces and nephews who are still working even the ones involved in oil in Sk.
                  Good for you and yours if they have not been affected, that could still change. Jusy saying.

                  . If you think that all the pipeline cancellations have had no effect on many, many Alberta and Saskatchewan families, you are delusional. I have many relatives and friends who have lost all hope and the stress has broken up families. My nephews company went from 100 plus employees and five regional offices down to the owner and three other travelling reps. Westerners are just spinning their wheels - treading water. The Eastern dictators are and will destroy the energy sector and for that you are grateful but I AM NOT.

                  When Trudeau is asked about support for vulnerable sectors, his standard irrelevant answer is, “we are consulting with “. I am consulting with my dog right now, what good does consultation do if I never intend to follow through to make his life better? Actors Act.

                    well geez agstarr, you are such an intellectual there.

                    Are you going to be tracking all the other deaths out there after this? Suicide, overdose, addiction. Increases in heart disease, homicide, domestic abuse, divorce.

                    You do know 800K kids go missing every year. Have you shed a tear for them or do anything to protect them you fing hypocrite?

                      Comment from Australia McDon our PM conservative been pretty pro active yesterday in a press conference suggested lock down May stay till October if not longer. Reintegrate he said may stay.

                      Man is our PM looking drained bushfires floods now cv19

                      Have to give my own household comment being on a farm well lockdown ain’t a issue i shop as per normal but often come home empty handed. Abide by distancing in shops disinfectant etc.

                      But real issue is my wife, she was hospitalised with swine flu maybe 7 years ago in hospital for 8 to 10 days isolation ward only in critical for one day. Got ambulances there. Specialist said here immune systems are weak. She got diagnosed with a probably side issue while there fibromyalgia. Any way if she got cv19 highly likely it would kill her.

                      Hence it’s a serious issue to me and my family.

                      Wife goes basically no we’re.

                      Don’t talk about wool market biggest one day fall in 17 years on Tuesday gonna take years to recover. Chinese mills back in action, can’t get wool there, Chinese can’t get finished product out, and if they could countries can’t get it in and then no shops open to sell clothes. Disaster.

                      Meat returns holding up just after initial falls grain holding up as well domestic may be king here again if grain can’t be exported and imported and flour moved etc
