    Bit complicated at moment.

Doctors say mothers upper body is strong, she can get around on a frame just.

They would send her home if she could get a carer, truth be known they said she should go home need space for potential cv19

Covid19 now one carer per person not 3 hours per person. Meaning careers looked after multiple oldies.

She really doesn’t think she can handle home life offer to stay here said nah prefer to be in town near friends 16 kms away from me. Her house is right next to hospital.

She’s not sick enough to go to old folks home.

So basically seems she has to deteriorate to get any help.

    Keep ya posted

Prolly needs rehab to get her going. Gotta push, hospitals have rehab wards, they save them. I don’t know in this crazy covid world if same opportunity.

Care homes here are becoming like death traps. Sanitary procedures were never very good now the pandemic is rampant in a number of homes.

No covid in care homes here in Sask so far.

            Truly a blessing.

I don't like hearing the care home workers getting thrown under the bus.

They are more front line than the professionals over at the hospital IMHO.

I think many of those people in the homes have Do Not Resuscitate or some type of living will.

            That's a job I wouldn't want for any money.

minimum wage to do that job in a private facility in Quebec? I don't blame the workers
and feel sorry for the patients. An example of money efficiency in the private sector
dealing with lives that doesn't work when you need it to..

That is a very difficult job many here local do a great job I couldn't do it either for
any money. Salute to those workers!!!!!

Get your mother one of those electric scooters if she hasn't got one.

Gives her a lot more range.

Hire the best (personality) housekeeper 3 day a week so she doesn't have to worry about that.

With the help of the housekeeper make sure she is actually eating enough.

Clean all the rotten shit out of the fridge.

Her legs are stuffed can’t get off and on a Mobilty scooter.

Careers hard to get in small towns.

Anyway just got call from hospital she can come home and go into a semi independent aged care unit been a change somewere n protocol.

So she InTown 500 people near her friends, her house and garden next to hospital so with help or supervision she will be able to go over there, 16 kms from me.

                  Decent out come for all

She’s big into quilting they have a recreation room she hopefully can quilt there

Dunno if I explained myself she in sort of a halfway house not hospital not aged care semindependant they will check her morning and night maybe shower her, but she an cook her own if she wants.

If she falls pushes a button nurses from other end of hospital will come.

She seems at ease with it all.

                    Thanks 3veryonefor your thoughts

Is it caused by a spinal issue?

5 years ago I had increasingly lost feeling in my legs. Had a spinal decompression and fusion - problem solved.

I wish your mother well. Health is so precious.

Well some aybe better news later this week. Who knows she might even be able to go home with a part time carer. She just has to keep out of garden and wear her medical alert button she pushes it and hospital will respond meant to be around her neck. But I’m going up today nurses said she is walking around hospital no issues with frame or scooting was there words. People suggest she’s gets a mobility scooter but no use she can’t get on and off of it. Her Mind is slipping as well used to 9/10 now I give her a 7/10 since Xmas. Both her parents had dementia I cannot remember them. Well I will se how she is today

So the issue is if she basically does absolutely nothing other than read quilt maybe cook for herself and just wander around but no physical exertion she might be ok at home.

Any gardening etc she has next door neighbour and friends that will water she can tag along sort of.

Funny she doesn’t want to go home for fear of a fall hospital pushing her to try as long as she has her alarm thing around her neck.
